His time at Bolton is irrelevant. He has proven he has what it takes to get the best out of us. If a waiter left a job at a fine dining restaurant, a job he was good at and got a job at a greasy spoon where he could not hack it. I am sure the waiter would still manage to be a good waiter at the fine dining restaurant.

If anybody has an issue with Celtic being fine dining and Bolton being a greasy spoon then feel free to disagree:icon_mrgreen:

I suppose we did only spend £11.6m on players that season too, more than had been spent in any other season Lennon was charge with us.

You must've forgot some of the stuff he came out with while he was sitting comfy in the Bolton job.

His tune has changed so many times.

    Grow up.

You don't decide who is a Celtic fan or not.

Neil Lennon would not be my preferred choice of the current candidates, although I wouldn't be disappointed if he returned.

He went above and beyond what nowadays is expected of a Scottish Football club manager, and that can never be taken from him, and whilst doing so, he was enduring what is possibly the worst treatment any football manager in our lifetime has ever had to endure.

A weaker man would have walked away from his employment.

Neil Lennon is a Celtic man to the core, and put his life on the line for the club. He would be welcomed back with open arms if it turns out he is the new manager.

This is how i feel . Don't get why some people are against it so much tbh could be alot worse plus i think for him to agree to return he would sort something out with the board about investment or something first

The beauty of a manager search some people agree some people don't doesn't make them any more or less a fan because of it

Do you really believe every poster in here is a Celtic fan? I mean by this put Celtic first and foremost above every club team.

I don't. This does not mean I decide who is and who is not a Celtic fan

I've said it a few times, no one was crying when he left and there was a lot of discontent during his final season here like most felt that the two parties had ran their course with each other.

He seemed unwilling to rebuild the squad, or at least under the conditions that the board had for him. Which indicated to me that he felt he couldn't return the team to the heights of the 12/13 season with the likely budget he'd receive and the fact we'd lost a lot of key players.

It's really not that I don't want him back it's just that the "breakup" the last time felt natural and the right thing for both the club and the man himself.

When I see guys like Moyes, Rodgers and even a few others who aren't as popular being linked it fills me with far more excitement than the prospect of Lenny coming back. It's an indication of a new and exciting direction with the other candidates.

I'm not for a minute trying to say Lennon doesn't have Celtic at heart.

He just has changed his tune a * of a lot from when he was sitting in a job to when he's jobless and the Celtic job is free.

We've been there and done it with Lennon too, I'd rather someone else than Neil again.
