    Didn't actually hear him say it so don't know if he was joking, but we definitely need more signings, with defence being the priority.

    Hopefully we don’t get into the business of signing 24 year olds and teaching them how to do the main part of their job.

    Spending £3m on a full back who isn’t comfortable defending is mental. It’s not a project it’s just stupid.

    Last season it took us til 9 games in to score our 12th league goal, we've already done it in our first 2.

    Mon the Lennon.

    Just needed time to do it his way and had to be careful to make sure of the league with the snakes team

    The football has improved massively since the tail end of last season. Goals from all over the park and very exciting to watch.

    Lennon got stick last season for his tactics of getting it wide and crossing non stop when we didn’t have the personnel for it. A tactic we seem to have discarded, which is great.

    He now deserves massive credit for the turnaround in performance and style of play.

    Buzzing and can’t wait for Tuesday now after that :60:

    Middle tae front we look phenominal, get the defence sorted and we will be in really good shape, enjoying the fitbaw under Lenny, teams don't get a minute, the tempo is excellent.

    Lennon said, 'Ajer was our best player today, allied with Lewis Morgan'. Ummm, what!?

    Morgan played great, worked his * off played a lot of nice football but just lacking the final quality. Certainly wasn’t the best player but he’s obviously trying to give the boy some confidence.

    Why not? Wasn't Boyata about the same age and equally lacking in certain areas? The important thing is where they are in their development not their age.

    I have actually been really consistent in this view since his very first game when most were saying how great he looked. I thought he looked like a project with potential then and I thought he looked like one on Wednesday when most folk thought he looked awful.

    Lenny himself explicitly said almost as much this very weekend.

    Think of it like Bobo Balde when we first got him. Looking at his attitude, work ethic and physical qualities, a year or so from now, I think we're going to love him.

    Ok, hit me with some common sense and reasoning why don't you! Fair enough. I just think he's gonna be SPL quality and maybe nothing better, but we should give him time.

    The bit where we were breaking 3 or 4 v 2 and he just slowed it right down and then hit a speculator over the bar from 25 yards was utter rubbish. We need better than that. I agree with what you said though.

    NL: Five goals away from home, we’ve got to be pleased with that at any stage of the season, but to be doing that at this point is incredible.”

    NL: “I thought Kris Ajer was magnificent and
    @10LewisMorgan
    ’s running power today was exceptional. As the game went on, they looked stronger and stronger. We’re in a good place at the minute, but we’re not taking anything for granted and it’s still very early

    NL: “Kris is playing so consistently. It’s not ideal playing him right-back, but he’s been fantastic. He’s not just versatile playing, he’s outstanding in both of those positions at the moment

    NL: “
    @OlivierNtcham
    is a very talented footballer, and as the game wore on, you could see his talent coming to the fore. His footwork is fantastic, and his work rate was fantastic. He can be very pleased with himself today.”

    NL: “We looked more assured and stronger as the match unfolded. It’s a great win and we know how important the game midweek is.”

    Must be trying to give Morgan some confidence because he was bang average.

    Gave plenty effort but that was it.

    We always scored a lot of goal under Lennon the last time as well, I remember it being refreshing from Strachan and Mowbray where we struggled for goals as soon as Lennon came in we were scoring 4/5/6/7 even 9 against Aberdeen regularly which we hadn't done for years.

    We also scored allsorts of goals from outside the box under Lennon as well which we hadn't for years and already this season we've probably scored about 8 from outside the box.

    A bit of psychology from Lenny, he knows that his words will have an effect on the players, just trying tae give the young guy a boost for his confidence, for me it's good management.
