Did I say any of that? Again you see a blank and fill it with yer negative pish.
Your headed for a heart attack at this rate.
Give it a * rest and focus on the good things in life for a change.
You’d suck the life out a vacuum.

When asked if he was close to signing anyone ahead of Saturday's Ladbrokes Premiership opener against St Johnstone, Lennon said: "No, we will have a quiet weekend.

"At the minute we are content with what we've got and we will go into Saturday and Cluj with the squad we have."

Neil Lennon says there will be no new faces coming through the Parkhead door before their Champions League qualifier against Cluj.

The Hoops face the Romanians in the first leg of their third round qualifier on Tuesday night.

And Lennon was asked if he was close to signing anyone ahead of the European tie or even as soon as this weekend for Saturday's Premiership opener against St Johnstone.

He said: "No, we will have a quiet weekend.

"At the minute we are content with what we've got and we will go into Saturday and Cluj with the squad we have."

Celtic have brought in the likes of Christopher Jullien, Luca Connell, Boli Bolingoli and Hatem Abd Elhamed so far this window.

Lennon is still on the look out for another right-back and with over a month left of the transfer widow, there is plenty of time for more ins and outs at the club.

The Northern Irishman also provided a transfer update on Kieran Tierney as he admitted Celtic were bracing themselves for another bid from Arsenal for the left-back.

He added: "Normally these things tend to happen again so it wouldn't surprise me, put it that way.

"That's not from personal knowledge of anything, that's just my own experience of things.

We know the (Premier League transfer) window shuts on Thursday so if we are talking about Arsenal then they have five or six days to come back in with a revised offer.

"Apart from that we will continue on and get Kieran back with us and fit as quickly as possible because he is such an important player."

Don't really see why @Blochairnbhoy is getting jip here.

Lennon on 24th July: "club is nowhere near finished with business"

“It doesn’t look like we’re going to get any fresh bodies in for this round (Kallju), so if we can negotiate this tie, hopefully we’ll have a couple more in the building by the time the third round comes along.”

“Ideally we’d like to have three or four bedded in"

    Lennon on 2nd August:

"No, we will have a quiet weekend. At the minute we are content with what we've got and we will go into Saturday and Cluj with the squad we have."

Surely it's reasonable to question such a significant change?

Aye, i totally get the frustration.

We should have players in so they can play in some games before our most important games of the season..

Hopefully there are a few irons in the fire and he's just being coy, but that's not his usual way of doing things..

Champions League qualification gambled with again, with over £40m in the bank. That's just unacceptable..

In fact it's a * disgrace and I'm sick of it.. Same every * year.

Meanwhile, Lennon has revealed that he hopes to have at least one new signing in the door before the weekend’s Premiership opener against St Johnstone.

“We will discuss that when we get back on Wednesday, it would be great if we could,” he said.

And we will try and get one or two in before the next tie if we qualify, which we should do, for next week.”

One man who won’t be coming to the club is Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, with Lennon knocking down reports that Celtic were set to make a move for the 22-year-old, who previously spent a season on loan at Kilmarnock.

The right-back position continues to be a bugbear for Lennon though, with talks to bring in yet another target to replace Mikael Lustig close to collapse.

We’re] no further down the line with that one,” he said.“That has stalled, so we may have to look elsewhere.”

    Literally on Monday..

At the end of the day any new signings at this point are not going to feature against Cluj anyway.

I think we’re waiting on the English window closing next week, to see if KT is still here and to see who’s trapped at clubs in England that we can target, before we make any more moves.

If they signed today? Doubt it.

We should have had most of our business done before the 2nd qualifier, but seeing as we don’t we’ll be going with what we have now for the remainder of the CL games imo.

Watch all the posters telling folk to calm doon change their mind very quickly if we get a bad result in Romania.

    It's appalling mismanagement imo

Not saying we should but it’s what I think we’re doing.

I’d prefer we steered clear of the English leagues due to the inflated market but we seem to have our heart set on a RB from there.

We've not seen Elhamed at all as of yet, he may not be any good at RB, a RB with a certain pedigree should have been signed but just because we haven't yet, doesn't mean we shouldn't.

Looks like it. Any incomings won't likely be upto speed to throw immediately into a UCL play-off game. As you say our business should have been done sooner to give us the best chance to get through that round, if we make it past Cluj.

Given the English window shuts in between our 3rd UCL qualifying tie, signing guys who have been deemed surplus to English clubs when they announce their squads shouldn't be a big part of our strategy; it should be more opportunistic if the right player comes up at the right price then do it.

Maybe we're waiting on this season's Man City reserve squad raffle...
