You never know what you get with him but Jozo under Lenny hasn’t half been a * monster.

Feels like he's always a game away from a long term injury as well. Crucial he stays fit during pre-season and qualifiers.

Lennon was always really good with the defence, polar opposite of Rodgers in fact. Guys like Lustig, Van Dijk, K Wilson, Izaguirre were all excellent for us under him. There was also fairly decent players like Matthews, M Wilson, and Mulgrew.

Obviously he signed a few iffy ones like Ambrose (who technically was good up until that juventus game), Kaddouri etc but his record there is great.

People forget but shooting from outide the box was a big part of Lennon's team the first time round. Mulgrew, Commons, Wanyama, Ledley, Stokes - freekicks aside we probably scored about 10-12 goals a season from outside the box from players shooting, I think even Kayal, Brown, Matthews, El Kaddouri and Lustig got some.

His Hibs team also scored loads from outside the box with Slivka, McGinn, Mallan - even scored a few against us and the huns.

Under Rodgers shooting from distance was never a tactic, players only did it now and again but under Lennon it's a part of how his teams usually play.

With Turnbull coming in, hopefully Griffiths back and maybe Shved in addition to McGregor, Christie, Rogic and even Tierney who hits a good shot but just never done it much we could start seeing more goals from distance and adding a new dimension to our play.

    Definitely..

It's something we don't do enough or execute enough of....particularly a lot last season..

Shved and Turnbull will certainly bring that and I reckon we'll add another who can as well. Even that Ankersen from right back..

Fancy we'll score from more set pieces this season than our last 2 or 3 maybe. Don't know the exact stats..

Aye, set pieces were also a big thing under Lennon he played under Martin O'Neill and that was a massive part of his game also.

Although we don't really have the height just now, be interesting if a couple of big headerers are brought in in defence and maybe another forward/winger in the mould of Samaras or Murphy. Or a defensive midfielder like a Wanyama or Ledley. It would be good to have a team capable of scoring from set pieces again but we are probably 3-5 signings away from that.

    Turnbull is 6'1
Harper we were linked with is 6 foot
Ankersen is just shy of 6 foot
Christopher Jullien is a big beast 6'5

No saying we'll get all these but it looks like we're looking for that stronger/aerial presence as well as quality..

Was talk of the striker wanting a new one to be a target man. Don't forget we've got Bayo who hasn't been able to get a real chance yet and he's phenomenal in the air..

Simunovic has shown he can be good in there. Ajer could improve there and really should be scoring a good few this season..

It's something I think will be addressed fine and we now have a couple of player's at least who look like they can consistently provide the perfect deliveries..

NL on David Turnbull: "The deal will be concluded, hopefully today. Thankfully he’s chosen us over Premier League teams, which is quite a coup for us."

NL: "We’re hoping to get a few more in, hopefully to join us in the camp in Austria. We’re looking in three or four areas and we know the areas where we need to strengthen."

NL: "We’re all looking forward to the new season. It is still early so it’s not at the forefront of my thoughts. First and foremost is the Champions League qualifier so hopefully we can make inroads into that. All our work at the moment is going into that

NL: "Now I can start putting my own imprint on things. I’m not ripping it up and starting again, but we’re looking at different styles and formations."

NL: "Leigh's training very well. He’s had a really good week and has been training constantly for the last few months so I have no problem in putting him in."

NL: "He’s missed it and he’s in a good place at the minute. I’m really pleased with what I’ve seen of him so far."

Neil Lennon is a man you can rely on. He will lead the Celts to the holy grail of 10-a-row. Its going to be one * of ride, but if anyone can Lenny can.
