If you don't want him back because he is not good enough or you think we could do better then no problem in my book. Tarring Lenny with "whoring himself in England", "only coming back because he has no other choice" etc. Is what I find unacceptable. I'm not going to cry if Moyes or Rodgers get the job.

Who's to say Lenny would be as good as the first time around though?

We're talking about the former Manchester United and Liverpool managers - Rodgers almost won Liverpool their first title in * ages.

It just surprises me that people are more excited about getting Lennon back than going for one of those two.

I didn't say that. I said others were saying that at the time.

You need to stop getting so offended christ sake.:smiley-laughing002:

Others would call him a "ginger * *". Personally I would not feel comfortable using this phrase.

I keep hearing that Rodgers almost won the league with Liverpool.

I think you'll find it was Suarez that done that.

So if Spurs finish second this season it was Harry Kane and not Pochettino?

A wankfest over Lennon on here. Not the answer by any means. That final season wasn't that good at all.

And the comparisons with Lennon and Strachan are laughable. Strachan done it consistently in Europe. We had big performances in Europe consistently with him. Strachan also had the Huns and a strong Hearts team on his shoulder.

I seen plenty of gutless performances against Aberdeen, AC Milan, Ajax and all of those Europa League games in the first few seasons. Some people seem to think 'gutless' performances will diminish into thin air with Lennon at the helm:smiley-laughing002:

Well I think you'll find dalglish had Suarez for two seasons and didn't get close to the league.

Rodgers was the first Liverpool manager since the 1950's not to win a trophy in their first 3 seasons with the club. Rodgers wont even be interviewed for the job imo, he will be elsewhere very very soon.

I also disagree with the logic that if Lennon comes back he will be a yes man and will be working under the same controls as when he decided to leave. If the board offer the job to Lennon, i would like to think he would accept only if he has assurances that the issues that caused him to leave before wer not going to be an issue this time round.

    That's a disastrous statement you've made there.

I would say about Lenny he may not have hit the heights of Jock Stein or Hennrik Larsson but it was not for lack of effort. Both these legends command great respect from Celtic fans even though bot left us for pastures new. Maybe some should take this into account and try and be at least a little respectful of Neil Lennon the man.

His talent some can question if they like as he was no big Jock or Hennrik.

Neil Lennon is infinitely more successful than Moyes or Rodgers, and turned a profit in players bought and sold.

The man was a * genius in his time with us.

"Infinitley" better than Brendan Rodgers is kind of wishful thinking

If Henrik was manager then the first time he lost a game some of the children on here would be calling him every name under the sun.

I hope Henrik doesnt get the job, i think he would be a failure as his managerial experience suggests he isnt ready for a job like Celtic at the moment.
