Aye, anyone wanting Celtic to lose so that Lenny didn’t get the job is really a hun, no other way of excusing it, mutant behaviour!!

When names like Rafa and Jose, plus a few others were mentioned, obviously Lenny would not have been my first choice. But the realistic names being mentioned, Lenny topped it for me and considering he got an under performing team over the line to the treble treble proves his worthy of the job, for me he is anyway.

Agree with what you've said, what does annoy me though is some of the OTT reaction to Lenny's appointment, people actually saying it took away the enjoyment of winning the treble treble, personally i think that is ridiculous.

While I did not want Lennon to be the new manager - I would never stoop to wanting us to lose. I accept his appointment and hope for the best.

I would add one caveat however.

If Lennon sits down with Lawwell and accepts the terms/budget etc on offer - then he takes the responsibility.

If the performances in the first couple of months next season are as * as they have been of late (IMO) - then Lennon is in the frame.

I really hope that is not the case but, if it is, his past service to our club does not get him a free pass. Hopefully, we will do well, and he should rightly get the praise. Conversely, if we are * - I'm really not interested in people trying to blame Lawwell or going on about disrespecting Lennon - he is as valid a target for criticism as any other manager.
