People that keep mentioning how the Huns are giving it big licks.

They managed 1 win in 7 against his Hibs side. With Hibs having 1/5th of their wage budget and effectively no transfer budget at all.

Shows them for the imbeciles they are. Didn't they just watch him lift the Scottish Cup yesterday? Why would they be happy that we've appointed a manager that only took 3 months to win his first trophy since returning? (if you count the league as Rodgers win) Because they beat us in a bounce game after the league was over and our players clearly just couldn't be arsed with?

They have the memory span of goldfish, no matter how many times they see us wipe the floor with them when it matters they keep deluding themselves that next time will be different.

If we do our work in the transfer market well then we should be out of sight again for the foreseeable.

All it takes is for Lenny to sign someone of sufficient quality to make a difference, I think someone already said Europa level even, I think it'll get most fans on board.

We have to be very careful with the loanees because sometimes they take up game time we could be giving to our own youth.

It would be nice to keep up our relationship with big clubs with 400 squad members.

Apparently he said priority is a striker which is fair enough cause I think Eddy would do nice with someone dedicated to link up. Plus it will give us the option when playing parked defences of just punting it in and causing disarray even if we don't head a goal.

That kind of player is well sought after down South though. Do La LIga players come here much? Usually very technical even at the lower level.

I still prefer us keeping it on the ground and utilising Forrest and Eddy ability there, and of course the majestic McGregor and I think we should develop Henderson and Mikey, I understand the loan idea but still think they're ready.

We also have to start giving Dembele game time because he's contracted till 2021 and if we don't play him he'll be 18 and available on a free then, I can see him getting serious offers, he's been too good for too long to not make it. He has been very cool here though cause I'm sure there have been offers, think he understands what we can offer plus this is his home which can be quite a big deal. Hopefully!

My priority would be decent back up for KT cause it would be soul destroying if he was overplayed, I mean I'm sure he wants to play ever game he's fit but he's been out so much we have to manage him much better, a rare gem, world class Youth Player, knows us inside out.

I'd like a RB to either back up Lustig or preferrably be first choice and have Mikael as back up or even just swap them about. If Benkovic is leaving, would be great if he isn't, then we will need quality CB. Our defence is definitely our weakest area.

I think it's also time to accept Gordon and DDV aren't the kind of back up we need so we should also be thinking about that. Can't expect so many signings in one window.

I really hope we get rid of a lot of crazy signings we've made. And let those who are not getting a game go.

Obviously any serious quality in any position becomes available we'll take it. I can't think of anything apart from defence apart from the striker. Maybe a midfielder with an eye to taking over from Broony? Callum will become our main creative but I don't like him playing deep so a DM would be good. Broony would be able to coach them too.

I'm looking forward to plenty of Lenny goal post pile ups :ynwacelti

    :50:

You have to reassure poor @Beldub Them celebrating the league already his him worried it must be true, why would a team do that unless they had a reason? Cause they're * mental

As I said a win or a draw with us is the only joy they have all season and they live for it. That's their sole purpose for buying a ST because they know within their hearts they have no chance of ever winning the league. Each passing season of trying to get a march on us is costing them dearly and making it less likely that they will ever be a real force in Scottish football.

I think we’ll see a striker come in. Lennon likes to play through wings and fling crosses into the box so a striker that can latch on to the end of those would be ideal. And no not a amido balde project we need someone who is experienced at a good level.
Sinclair will probably leave so we can push eddy out wide. Honestly we should be ok with eddy, Forrest, shved, Johnson, Hayes, etc
Midfield we have brown Eboue and Bitton as dms and cal, christie, ntcham, Henderson, etc I think we’re solid in mid unless Rogic or ntcham leave, Lenny would probably replace with taller players
Defence we defo need some investment, good money on a first choice rb is desperately needed, a experienced backup Left back who can possible play in different positions and we will need at least one cb and two if benko doesn’t return.
Goalie I could see us sitting with what we have just because we have the numbers, wouldn’t be a bad idea to bring in an experienced goalie to replace ddv but this time someone who can actually push for a spot

Minimum a decent striker/CB/LB/RB if this happens then I have much more hope for next season

I knew Lenny was getting it. At least he worked with squad for 3 months and knows what he needs this summer.
I can lustig signing new deal and we have settle back four for qualifiers. Lustig and Jozo and ajer and tierney will do for first two rounds anyway.

    I'll just leave this here...

“We still have a core of a lot of good players,” said Lawwell. “I think people are maybe overestimating what we need to do or overstating it."

Still think we arent going to cost cut?

If Lawell himself is making these comments the writings on the wall for thos window, and the next.

Given what has and still is actually NEEDED all we need to do is look atbthe last 4 windows.

Excluding eddy(which appears to be to go to to excuse the continued * * we recieve) our defence is an utter mess, with no real right back, tierney ran into the ground, * hendry et al.... we will see * all.

    Lenny knows whats needed.

    * me ally mccoist could see whats needed.

The fact that PL has alluded to "were independent" ie: we dont care what sevco do... is indicative in itself as a carefully worded i know what you want but youre not getting it to fans.

Pucker up yer buttholes... uncle petes coming in dry.

Hail Hail the Celts are here
“Standing still is going backwards in professional sport...” - Tom English.

As a life long fan of Celtic, I’m delighted, moved to tears by the recent achievements and the recent loss of club legends.

But I have lived through the harshest of times - the club almost went under not that long ago. So I make no apologies about being pragmatic as well as joyous.

The club is obviously financially secure, and the treble-treble speaks for itself.
But if there are fans who think the quality of football hasn’t dropped, and that signings are not drastically needed - then you are far less pragmatic than I.

I hope Lennon delivers, of course I do, but he wouldn’t have been my first choice. He’s looked a bit one dimensional when the going got tough, tactically a million miles away from BR. Luck, opposition errors and huff and puff have got us over the line at times.

That old firm defeat made my mind up on him, and if it didn’t make the boards mind up, then they are clearly happy to gamble with 10iar.

I don’t care if the league was already won, if you’re out there wearing a Celtic shirt, you play to win every game. And if you’re not motivated enough to compete with Rangers, at ANY stage of the season, you don’t deserve to be there.

I just hope the gamble pays off... The gamble being happy to “stand still”, if all the recent comments from the board are an indication of what’s to come.

probably right in a lot of wot youve said , but there will be good additions and possibly 1 or 2 to get excited about ,o donell from killie i like a lot and he looks solid and good moving forward ,can see us making a move there ,i expect them to push us to our limit of wot we value him at as there will be others in for him, like mcginn again .

dont feel he knew but am sure the shift in opinion from fans may have got to him a little ,i believe 100% they wanted the season over and no distractions to players or manager over talks ,budgets new players ,just to get us home and dried ,and the cup was the icing on a beautiful cake ,it wasnt amazing to watch ,to much asked of 1st picks ,no enough rest ,we got there ,and the early as possible statement after the game is for stability moving forward, no rumours now and lots of planning this new season .

Pushing for the historic 9 & 10, needing to improve on a season where we failed to make the CL groups, all-time high shirt sponsor deal, all-time high shirt manufacturer deal, broke our all-time high transfer income (more than double what we spent combined on all transfers) over the last 12 months, and it's generally accepted that our board will be looking to cost cut. How * mental is that? No other club in the * world would do that. Unacceptable.

AVB going to Marseille on a rumoured 300k a month gives us a bit of perspective on who and what was actually achievable and available just now.

All the big names look and sound good but you can rule him out straight away if he’s going to be on anything remotely close to that sort of salary.

I don’t think it’s that mental if done right mate, we’re getting rid of a lot of the dross that’s taking up a wage at the club, get guys in to actually strengthen the team.

It’s a good time to rebuild.
