I don't want Lennon or Keane anywhere near the job. Keane is an egotistical * and a Lennon return would be a step backwards IMO.

 

The squad we have less Erik and Roberts managed to take the lead twice away to Ajax and take a 2 goal lead against Fener. probably good enough for CL qualification although a couple of additions especially up front would not go amiss.

 

It was more the losing of players rather than lack of additions that caused him to leave. Having no huge rebuilding project if we keep what we have seems a message keep what we have and we won't need much spend. Those who think the Celtic board will give any manager a big transfer budget must have their head firmly buried in the sand for the last 6 or 8 years.

 

We don't need an overhaul.

We need a cull of the 'project' players, though. We need to decide which ones we really believe in, and give them the games and the time they need to develop. We're at a point now where we have a lot of players who could be very good, but they're all competing for 2/3 places in the team so none of them are actually developing.

I say we need 2 or 3 new faces to add a bit of pace and power to the team in key areas. If we get into the Champions League, we get more money and then we can address other areas of the squad.

Let's be honest, it doesn't look that bad, albeit from that still. The lassies are not exactly hiding from plastic cups and everyone's smiling around. Looks like decent banter and Lenny winding them up from his vip spot

As much as I want Rodgers in, the image of Lennon holding the SPFL trophy aloft for our 10th consecutive season and the utter meltdown that would ensue would be amazing.

 

I know someone that seen it, wasn't a riot or anything but was a good few * at it, paying more attention to him than anything else.

 

Not that it would've changed anything but the week this gig's fallen on, after him appearing on Sky at Hampden, then throwing his name in the hat, will always attract the arseholes who loathe his very existence mate..
