He was poor for a lot that but there isn't a zip around him..

Can't just blame him for no winning 73 headers in the box..

He hates the word "patience". Good. That's what the manager of Celtic should be like. Teams aren't going to open up if we ask them nicely and keep possession. Although, he's lying. We cross a lot more than under Rodgers. It's giving me more hope of a goal when I see crosses.

Neil Lennon on #CELKIL: "Amazing. The perfect way to win the game when you think of the circumstances. Big man might’ve been looking down on us when we were needing a goal and
    @SimunovicJozo
's been outstanding for me since I came in. I'm very pleased with the win

NL: "I want my centre-halves to attack the ball more and he’s doing that on a regular basis. I’m pleased with the win, pleased with the second-half and it’s a great three points

    NL: "
    @KilmarnockFC
created opportunities with us being sloppy. We were ill-disciplined defensively, not just the back four, but the midfield as well. We were a little bit loose. We wanted that tidied up in the second-half."

NL: "The players did overcome an obstinate hurdle today, so tomorrow will bring whatever. We know we need a point now just to guarantee it

NL: "The supporters were getting a bit nervous but that’s understandable. Listen, at this stage of the season, unless you have real momentum, there is always going to be anxiety and nerves around the place.

NL: "They are human beings and they can’t always play scintillating football. Right now, we are grinding. I get that. But we are grinding in the right way."

If a manager came in to a direct team and tried to get them playing a short-passing, possession game that they clearly weren't suited for, he'd be slaughtered.

Turning us into a team who whack crosses into the box constantly doesn't suit the players we have whatsoever. McGregor, Forrest, Edouard, Rogic- all suited our style under Rodgers of intricate passing and cutting passes far more. Far more. Just because it's more "simple" or more "direct" doesn't mean it's better.

The fact he couldn’t get the team up for today of all days speaks volumes...

His team may be more defensively-sound than what Rodgers instilled, but * me he's downgrading the amount of attacking quality that we had/have.

Hate to say it, but even at Rodgers' most bland parts of his tenure, Lennon's style of play with this group of lads is much worse, and much much worse to watch.

He's clearly a far inferior manager to the snake, and we should be looking for someone much more inventive and motivational as a manager.

That is true, and the fact that SOME of these players couldn't motivate themselves also need addressed.

Mate I think some of them are just totally clueless under Lennon.

We keep trying to get the ball on Edouard’s head when it doesn’t make any sense. Our style of play now nullifies our players more than the opposition.

And making the park smaller was * idiotic. That’s what defensive teams do.

If Lennon wants his team to play the way they are playing, then he's absolutely right - they do need a proper CF.

Trouble is, we don't have one, so playing in a manner when it's not going to work is....well, to put it nicely, baffling.

This is why he should not be given the job.

He does not and will not get the best out of our best players, not because he isn't a good motivator, but because he simply doesn't have the ability as a manger to set up a team that plays to their strengths.

Not just a CF. If we were to appoint him full time then we’d be woefully mismanaging players like McGregor, Rogic, Forrest, Edouard.

We should be getting a manager who plays football and will have us ripping teams apart. Not someone who wants a big striker to hit cross to all day.

If we’re saying * the football and just wanting to play it basic then there’s still better options than Lennon for that.

It's very hard to pass your way through a competent defense. And Clarke's Kilmarnock are certainly good at defending. Rodgers lost to them, and he insisted on possession football.

To be fair, some of the football I watched under Lennon was really, really good.

Not as inventive and intelligent as the BEST I saw under the snake, but really good none the less.

I think IF he were to be manager full-time after this season, then he needs to recruit the players to fit into his system, because as it stands he's trying to play his system with a group of players who have been moulded into another system that is different from his.

Clearly Rodgers' system was always going to suit attacking players or players comfortable in possession, negating defenders, wheras Lennon's systems suit our defenders and play more direct and...well....usually inyer face fitba.

But for me, times have changed and Lenny's not the man now.

Edouard didnt come deep/wide to collect the ball once . Coached to stay in the box, and was just a target man . Not his game at all that boy needs a partner and the license to roam in the final third thats where he is dangerous.

If there is a rift between him and the players due to them being half arsed, why he keeps playing those?

There are guys, such as Weah and Hayes, that are visibly more motivated and trying harder. Why he then gives playing time to divas like Sinclair and Ntcham? Why not use the alternatives to Edouard when they are available?

Take Forrest, a guy born into the club. He seems to have simply forgotten how to play football since Lennon came. Would you seriously suggest Forrest is boycotting a Celtic legend? If so we cannot trust anyone anymore.

The thing is Lennon simply doesnt know what he is doing. He keeps Rodgers formations and match selections and then sets up this team to cross into the box without having the players for it. He boycotts the loaned players because they wont be here next season but plays Izaguirre and played Boyata who also wont. I also dont understand that "football changed since he left and he is outdated". Even if it changed that much, * substitutions and preferring half arsed players has always been a bad idea.

I really like the guy but simply dont know what is happening. Had high hopes but this is so bad.

Didn’t see the second half, but that first half was absolutely dire. We were lucky to get to half time with the score at 0-0.

Another boring, dull grind. Today of all days should be when we are 100 miles an hour and trying to put on a show.

He’s definitely, 100% not the man to take over.

Got to agree with this, people said he was Dembele’s replacement. They are totally different players, Edouard needs someone else linking up with him playing the smart one twos and running off him creating space. No chance is he a target man in the box for crosses getting swung in.
