Maybe not so, but he’s had no real success outside of managing us. The best team in a small league. I don’t think he’s a very attractive prospect for Scottish clubs even though like you say the trophies he’s won

Speaking to Romanian outlet, Sport pe Surse, Lennon said: "I will speak fully when the time is right. But we were treated very badly by certain people in the Romanian media. You know who I'm talking about.

What happened was incredibly unprofessional. I want to return to coaching as soon as possible. No, I don't need a break."

Neil Lennon, the first statements given in Romania, after breaking up with Rapid! When he returns to training

Neil Lennon (53 years old) left Rapid after only 6 matches, during which he did not achieve any success in the management of Giulești.

    Neil Lennon: 'Incredibly unprofessional'

Brought as a real blow to Romanian football, if we were to take into account the performances of the past, Neil Lennon was not able to impose himself in the time available, so that Dan Șucu lost his patience. As a result, the technician parted ways with Rapid, and Marius Șumudica was brought in to replace him, but the latter also failed to link the positive results.

Contacted by the website Sportpesurse.ro , Neil Lennon gave a short reaction. The former coach of Rapid admitted that what happened in Romania left him with a bitter taste, but also that he wants to return to activity soon.

" I will speak when the time is right. We (not his entire staff) were treated very badly by certain people in the media. You know who I'm talking about. It was incredibly unprofessional. (no if he wants to come back or wants a break) As soon as possible ," said Neil Lennon.

Neil Lennon does not want to be the Scotland manager

The adventure in Romania ended quickly for Neil Lennon, who is now back in the UK and taking advantage of his free time. Invited to a podcast in Scotland, the former coach of Rapid was asked if he is tempted to take over the position of national team coach there, and he answered immediately.

“No, that's for a Scotsman. I personally think the Scotland manager should be Scottish ," Lennon, who is Northern Irish, told Scottish media.

Afterwards, Neil Lennon was asked about his future, but also about the possibility of returning to the Scottish Championship, where he made history on the Celtic bench.

“It's not something I really think about. You never know where the game will take you. There are a lot of coaches who go from country to country and really enjoy what they do. Scotland is my home and I love it. "Coaching is such a fickle job and one day you're the king and the next you're the villain, so you just have to find the balance between them and enjoy the experiences," Lennon said.

6 matches without a win, for a club expected to win their league. Caught * in the training ground(?)
    Sacked

But deflect with blaming the media with a poor agenda. No idea what the media would have said, possibly misconstrued, possibly racial, possibly very poor tasting, possibly just highlighting the poor results.
But trust Lennon to be the one to ignore that absolute appalling football that got him the sack and deflect with anything that would suggest it wasn't his fault.

He's a better media personality than manager for me, in this day and age.

    Easily..

He's very articulate and knows the game. I'd be very surprised if he goes back in to management as his stocks no bad in the punditry game.....down here also..

Yeah obviously knows his stuff and has played and managed at a high level both up in Scotland and down here as you say. Really suits him and he's a far better listen than some of the gobshites on Sky especially.

Aye he'll get more work as a pundit than a coach, at the same time, he'll definitely feel he has something to offer coaching wise, he was a success for us the majority of his time. Not worked amazingly elsewhere, besides a good few months at both Hibs and Omonia
