What else would he talk about the day before an old firm? Think McCoist would be on talking about Everton and West Ham?

If he stops talking about us, we’ll soon stop talking about him.

However, we all know he will * himself out and talk about us to any media outlet that will have him, despite miraculously recently securing employment in football.

The hostility is more than justified. He left a stain on us that goes far beyond anything on a football pitch.

As horrendous as the football was, and as clueless a manager he is, if he conducted himself in anything close to an appropriate manner for a Celtic manger, he would have been welcomed back in a heartbeat.

I am absolutely thrilled and relieved he is not leading us out tomorrow.

He doesn’t need to go on talkSport. He does that by choice and is rightly criticised.

Man do ya need a hug or something haha

NL brought us success. You can't look over thst. It didn't work out for the 10 for many reasons, not just NLs fault. We draw a line, put it behind us and move on. No point in continuing to vent such nonsense. We are in a good place now and near getting the 10 is now part of history. The sweet is never as sweet without the sour!

Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed there are some ex-Parkhead team-mates he no longer talks to since his acrimonious departure from Glasgow's east end.

And he believes he was stabbed "in the front, not the back" by his old pals upon his exit.

The Irishman was sacked as Hoops boss in February last year as his side's 10 In A Row tilt fell short and they lost their grip on the Scottish Premiership title.

Lennon insists his relationships with the likes of former chief executive Peter Lawwell and the club's largest shareholder Dermot Desmond have remained intact.

But that's NOT the case when it comes to some of the players he used to share the hallowed Parkhead turf after the bitter end to his time at Celtic.

Speaking to PLZ, Lennon said: "It was painful, yeah. People turn on you very quickly.

That's the fickle nature of football sometimes, but I didn't see it coming in the volume it did come.

Asked if his relationship with Desmond and Lawwell has changed, he said: "Not at all. It has with some other people, ex-teammates...

"But certainly not with those two. I was very close to them and I still am.

"Yes (they were team-mates critical of me). I'm far from happy. They basically stabbed me not in the back, but in the front."

Lennon then gave his impression of said team-mates when he spoke to them about their critical words.

    'A bu-bu-bu, I didn't mean it like that'.

Lennon caught the Scottish footballing world by surprise when he upped sticks for Cyprus last month.

Neil Lennon has revealed that Ange Postecoglou was the inspiration behind his move to Cyprus.

The Celtic manager has worked in his native Australia as well as Greece and Japan before moving to Scotland.

Seeing his successor being so open to broadening his horizons was behind Lennon'sdecision to take the plunge and move to Cyprus, where he's managing Omonia Nicosia.

Postecoglou inherited a club in crisis after the Northern Irishman's departure in February last year and John Kennedy's interim spell in charge.

But he inspired a sea change through shrewd recruitment and implementing an enthralling style of football.

They're now flying high and in pole position to win the Premiership.

Lennon has hailed the work his replacement has done at his beloved Hoops.

He told PLZ Soccer: "He's been a breath of fresh air. I think his style of football is great to watch.

"I think the way he comes across in the media, he's pretty straightforward.

"I think he's a genuinely a really good guy. I've spoken to him on a lot of occasions.

"He's rebuilt the squad, which needed doing, everybody knew that.

"But I think some of the players he's brought in have been fantastic.

"And he's on the cusp now of winning the title which would be a remarkable achievement."

And the former Hibs boss also spoke of how that all inspired him to try his hand in a new country

"I've taken a leaf out of his book," he added.

Ange has been in Australia, Japan, Scotland, so I'm looking at it thinking 'why not go abroad and broaden your horizons and take on a different culture.

"Looking at what Ange has done over the last few years and his body of work was sort of a catalyst for me doing this."

Lennon has backed Postecoglou to put Sunday's Scottish Cup heartache behind him and lead Celtic to the title.

He said: "You never say it's over until it's over, but you've got six points and a really good goal difference.

"Obviously losing the semi-final is a sore one but over the piece they've been so consistent since October.

Psychologically the win against Rangers in February was a huge shot in the arm for the club and Ange himself.

"They've been imperious domestically up until Sunday."

Lennon is rounding on former team mates probably for broadcasting opinions that he didn’t agree with or like. The same guy that has been employed in media and I doubt has held back on his own honest opinions. Lenny had chucked it by October last season but Lawell, Desmond or Lenny couldn’t see that. Of course he wasn’t going to like hearing criticism. * sake, Sutton got pelters for even backing him when it was done. Also more to the point, Lennon didn’t pull punches when he was making unpopular decisions that harmed some of his own players.

Can’t be expecting everyone to tip toe around him.

He hadn’t chucked it for me, he had lost it and couldn’t handle it or rescue it, couldn’t cope with the pressure, key players lacking the desire after not being allowed a move and failed beyond belief but he didn’t chuck it. For me anyway, might not be much difference in the end result there but he was too desperate and emotional and scattergun in dealing with the setbacks and things not going our way, wasn’t good enough to stop the freefall or change the outcome but I don’t think that’s the same as chucking it. He should have chucked it and stepped aside.

That’s my thoughts as well mate, he’ll have used any resource available around him to do due diligence, regardless of if you need to shift through a bit of * to find the stuff that is valuable for you to learn off of.

The lack of ego on Ange is one of his biggest positives for me.

Chucking it is giving up and not caring a * for me, he was just nowhere near good enough.

If he had an ounce of self reflection in him I’d still be one of his biggest fans, but he doesn’t. At all.
