Lennon had a chance to leave gracefully. And instead chose to spite the support and ended up happy to burn our entire season and 10-year goal for his own shot at glory. There were obviously problems outwith his control, but his failure to leave when it clearly wasn't working is what many are angry with him for. Especially after he told us flat out that he would do if it ever came to it.

Since Lawwell’s been gone as well, we’re still restructuring in the background as well. We’ve seen protests against the board since last season when you look at the likes of the Higgins stuff. We’re nowhere near the finished article.

He was a big part of it, no doubt, inexcusable but I think if we’re talking last season he’s nowhere near the only one.

Look at why Rodgers got majorly fed up, before Lennon. Getting the two out of the club majorly helps but we’re still building up again from the outfall of it.

We became arrogant and very static as a whole as a club, Ange seems to be dragging it into a new era. If Nicholson keeps listening to him and doesn’t think himself as the be all and end all that’s a major step in the right direction.

One of my worries about the toxic nature still lurking in the club is the full Higgins thing, it wasn’t us that pulled out of that move, it was Higgins.

See I do agree with this mate aye. There were a lot of troubles and deep-rooted ones at the club last season. Things a lot brighter this season. But Lennon, for me, his behaviour was just inexcusable. That's why I was calling him out on here initially. Thought we saw a different side to him that was disappointing to see.

All he had to do was walk after the Ross County loss at Parkhead and I sincerely doubt any fan would take issue with him.

Now that he is back in management let's hope he is straight on the phone to Celtic FC in order to bolster his new squad.

We got some top players he is no doubt of their ability as he signed them

    Boli, Ajeti, Barkas ..

The Athletic claim: "Dembele knocked on manager Neil Lennon's door and told him he believed he should be starting more games. Lennon did not take kindly to a 17-year-old telling him how to do his job."

An offer to keep him in Glasgow beyond the summer has not yet been forthcoming

When the league is already sown up there is an annual tradition of treating the final matchday of the season as an opportunity to hand the biggest academy prospects first-team minutes. That 2018-19 fixture, a 2-1 win over Hearts, featured a 45-minute showing from a 16-year-old Dembele who was thrillingly direct. There was no such opportunity in 2019-20, when the league season was curtailed due to COVID-19, but Dembele still found time to make his European bow in a 2-0 loss to Cluj in the Europa League group stages, after Celtic qualification from the group had been sealed.

The following season was underlined as Dembele’s potential breakthrough, and he enjoyed a four-minute cameo in the 5-1 win league opener against Hamilton Academical. Things quickly soured.

After Celtic’s 1-1 draw away to Kilmarnock in their second league fixture in which he was an unused sub, Dembele knocked on manager Neil Lennon’s office door and told him he believed he should be starting more games. Lennon did not take kindly to a 17-year-old telling him how to do his job, and Dembele only played 11 minutes more — a brief showing against Hibernian the previous month when Celtic had 12 first-team players isolation after Christopher Jullien caught COVID-19 in Dubai — before Lennon’s sacking last February. American Cameron Harper was trusted to start in front of Dembele that day.

Ralston is another one granted we more or less all thought he was done here last season but he should have been played over Jonjoe Kenny would rather player our * (at the time) than someone elses. Kenny must be one of our worst ever considering the amount of game time he got

That same article goes into Dembele doing that while being a bad trainer, buying into his hype and not physically ready.

Does anybody think any actual good manager, imagine say a 17 year old going into Jurgen Klopp 2 games into the season, with a stinking attitude, demanding to play. Infact imagine Alex Ferguson.

By all accounts now Dembele has got a grip, started working hard off the pitch. That’s good management, that’ll serve him well in his career.

Said this a good few times, but the stories I’ve heard about Dembele coming through I never thought he was going to make it because his attitude was stinking.

You don't have any right to say on that Tommy's behalf.

In fact, it's a bit of a sick comment invoking the dead as ammunition against somebody you have a personal grievance with.

As I said before there are stories about Lennon not being interested in the academy and treating the younger players like *. Yeah maybe Demebele did have an attitude but thst doesn't excuse Lennons attitude towards the youth academy and how he felt it was a waste of time and should be done away with

Did he say that? Strange man, first thing he done the first time round was promote James Forrest after he helped develop him in the youths and even last season heavily relied on Welsh.

But that with Dembele, I couldn’t see Ange standing for that behaviour either:
