I'm delighted that Lawwell is going.

I can't see them announcing anything about Lennon on the same day.

The important thing is that Lennon follows Lawwell out the door and the fans know about it before being asked to renew season tickets.

Not enough, IMO. The successor must be someone good, with title-winning experience. * replacing Lennon with John Kennedy or Jack Ross. The fans should wait with renewals until the new manager is announced.

 

I find it baffling that Jack Ross is even linked, a lot of Hibbys aren’t very happy with him, says it all.

 

Too right mate - I really wouldn't put it past DD to try and fob us off with Kennedy or Jack Ross (once the renewals are in). I think Lennon/Kennedy/Strachan/Hammond must all go if it's to be a genuine "fresh start" - I don't really have an opinion on Stevie Woods - a decision for the new manager hopefully.

With it being announced Lawell stepping down and a new CEO being appointed in June, at this stage I would accept it being announced that Lennon will be leaving at the end of the season but with a new manager and coaching team being named and appointed to take over from him allowing them to assess the players for the rest of the season.

 

You know what, the more I think about this the more I think Lenny is here for next season as well. Lawwell is leaving at the end of June, I don't know when McKay takes over, if there is a crossover period with both in place, but even if there is I suspect the priority will be restructuring and getting a DoF in place. I can't see them trying to get a DoF and new manager at the same time. So I can see it being a phased approach, get a DoF, have them settle in, take stock and evaluate the current set up, then draw up a plan for moving forward. All of that will take time, which means leaving the manager's role alone for now and dealing with that at the end of next season when everything else is in place.

I hope to * I am wrong.
