I honestly believe the board have not sacked him yet because too early in the january window will mean a replacement will want backed in the market

I agree with you that some of the personal abuse (which I myself don't indulge in) has been disgraceful.

It's not just losing the 10 - it's how he's done it - we have been a joke this season. The club has gone backwards since he returned (he has had a lot of luck in the 3 cup finals he has been in since he returned).

I don't think anyone here would honestly want to see him suffer any health issues. I personally hope he goes into punditry rather than management - he's an average manager at best and will always end up in a pressure situation.

However, he has mainly himself and the board to blame. He deludes himself that he is a top class manager (which he has never been) and nothing is ever his fault. The board should have stepped in long before this.

I think people will always respect his record as a player and the sectarian BS he had to put up with when he was first appointed.

However, his real legacy (along with Lawwell) is presiding over the regression of the team from Feb 19 to the total shambles it is today - also by being a gutless "yes man" to Lawwell and letting him act as a Director of Football.

I think the club and a new manager would accept that the league is gone and he cannot be judged on that. They would probably prefer to hold fire - let them assess the squad (and likely leavers in the summer) so they can plan their summer activity well in advance.

Couldn’t agree more. There’s a weird trend among football fans to give someone a pass of their job is ‘hard’. It’s like the supporters that are saying we can’t get another manager in because they can’t think of one.

Hiring managers is literally Lawwell’s job and he’s pathetically bad at it so he should be sacked. It’s that simple.

This farce needs to stop now, it’s beyond embarrassing, beyond a joke and complete beyond belief he’s still in charge of the club.

This season been beyond * from the owner, the board, the manager/coaching team, to the players. This season above all seasons they all know the importance of what this meant, not just to the fans, but the club, the players would have been in footballs history books forever. But no they decided to hide and watch this shitshow unravel.

    Unacceptable and wholly disappointing.

Someone explain to me how there isn't at least some sort of performance clause in any celtic mangers contract that then mitigates costs of having to sack the manager?

This is totally overshadowing his previous achievements for me now, this could and should have been dealt with far more professionally by NL and the board to avoid this situation, didn't have to be like this. Said months ago that this could get very ugly and it's turned into an absolute horror show on account of his stubbornness and the board's failure to act when required. Totally scunnered, most people could see it happening miles down the road.

I can't believe the board can't bring themselves to pay whatever's left of his contract off when they were happy to bring in players like Ajeti and Klimala for maybe 7/8 million not so long ago.

I'm not criticising those players as a waste of money, I actually like them both, just don't understand the rationale, because they surely don't believe he's going to turn it around or that he's done a good job? Longer he's staying on the worse it's getting.

Did he give it his best shot though the evidence suggests he became very complacent .... stick with old routines taking a forced selection to get soro and turnbull in the team giving players needless days off at start of season (fitness is crucial) which evidently leads to our first dropped points at Kilmarnock the. No recognised striker against ferencvaros where he openly admits that they were better than he thought ...which tells me he did. No research on them throwing players under bus and taking no responsibility alienating youth players the list goes on and the evidence paints a picture that he hasn’t got the fire i. His belly anymore he got lazy behind that wheel and back in old habits that were affecting the job the first time around

He gave great service to the club as a player but so have many others - I don't know why you're singling him out for the Man Utd Win(s)? - there was only 1.

In terms of his league titles - the first was the season Rangers went broke, the next 2 were won with Rangers not in the League and last season, Rangers fell off a cliff and we had COVID. The 2018/19 was Rodgers as far as I'm concerned - we were 8 points clear with a massively better goal difference when Lennon took over - if he had lost that, he would have been gone at the end of the season.

The only Treble he won was last year - the league was called early, we were second best by far in the BetFred final and only beat a championship team on penalties in the Scottish Cup.

I won't forget his contribution nor the sectarian BS he had to put up with.

However, his status as a "Legend" (in your opinion) has been tarnished by his second stint here.

The club has regressed massively since he returned and this season has been embarrassing - we have become a laughing stock and Lennon's comments after matches are delusional.

IMO, this is as bad as it was under Liam Brady except he didn't come out with the BS that Lennon does nor did he have anywhere near the same amount of money to spend.

It's a pity but if you mention Lennon to Celtic fans in the future - 99% will immediately think of him as they guy who cost us 10IAR - delivered the worst season in many years and refused to step down no matter how bad things were.

Fair enough if you will think of a "Legend" who beat Barcelona in a match that happened well over 8 years ago.

For the majority of us - the demise of the club over the last 2 years is a more realistic view.

Things won't just "Calm down" after he leaves - the new manager will require some patience from us (and should get it) as he has to clean up the disaster that Lennon (and hopefully Lawwell) have left behind.

I won’t remember him for ‘losing’ the 10 as such, even though our efforts have been laughable. If they go unbeaten then fair enough, that’s a good achievement and as much as it hurts they deserve it.

I’ll remember him for being an utter *. For stealing a wage from a club he supposedly loves when it’s obvious his management is sabotaging the club. I’ll remember him for not walking away when the situation could still be salvaged.

I’ll remember him for his stubbornness, his contradictions, for being an utter * in the media by throwing his players under the bus and treating the fans like dog * on his shoe.

I’ll remember him for sucking snus and looking like a tramp with our crest on his chest, and the bloodshot eyes and what can only be described as * marks on the sides of his lips during that Sky interview

Everything from the way he presents himself, to the way he speaks, to the way he treats the players, to his coaching and managerial ability is *. Utter *. That’s how I’ll remember him. *.

Had we someone competent they wouldn't even be on this unbeaten run in the league because they would have defeated them in the first game & ended it there & then.

I'm at the stage where I just check in twice a day to see if he's been sacked yet.

Then I'm filled with dread at the absolute certainty that Kennedy will be given the gig to the end of the season... make a decent go of it, mibbe beat the filth convincingly... then get the job full time...
