Lennon shouldn’t be anywhere near the job in the summer, we’ve improved so much as a club since he was last year he hasn’t as a manager.

This is rewriting history. We were pretty brutal in the first half of the season but Rodgers turned it around after the winter break. He had a 100% win record domestically this year till he left, including away from home.

Aye people seem to be remembering Brendan’s 1st season and not the reality of this one. Today was no different than Killie away, even the 2-0 at St Johnstone that we left late or the 1-0 further back this season in Perth as well, the 1-1 against Motherwell, * even the Partick Thistle 3-1 at the atart of the season we were bailed out by Dembele and Gamboa. Livingston 0-0....certainly much better than Hibs pumping us 2-0 at Easter Road

Dodgy performances away from home this season is not an isolated incident

Lennon inherited a team with a deep-rooted culture of excellence and a distinctive philosophy, neither of which he has been able to maintain (so, perhaps, other candidates would be better suited to the job).

What legacy did Rodgers leave at Celtic if the surviving coaching and playing staff are suddenly, literally overnight, unable to reproduce his philosophy, or football, without him - even to a lesser standard?

The system needed to be tweaked, not dismantled.

I'm in two minds about that.. sometimes you need dispassionate decision making, clinical if you like. Lenny will live and breathe it but that night not be what's required. A stepback is sometimes needed.

Lenny is in awe of the setup under Rodgers, we need someone who can build on that.

We also need a manager who will demand backing from our board.

    It's a tough one.

There have been a good few games where we couldn't make the breakthrough when BR was manager it's very harsh to try and frame this solely as problem since NL came in!

I think when we have our full squad available we will be a much better team.

He also left a team with deep rooted problems away from Celtic Park who often played very pedestrian football as soon as the conditions weren’t perfect. If you genuinely don’t think a manager makes a major difference on how a team plays then there’s not much I can do for you.

No I'm not we were * garbage away under Rodgers most of the season and to be honest we were * at home the majority of Rodgers second season.

First season was amazing no doubt and I'm glad we managed to win every trophy but to act like all his games were flawless is utter nonsense. It will take time for Lennon to get his own stamp on things.

He was 2 for 2 away from home in 2019. Which in itself was a rarity this season.

No one said he was flawless. I said the football was pretty brutal in the first half of the season but he had a 100% domestic record after the winter break, which is a fact.

No need to make things up to try and win an internet debate.

I think that's harsh, the way we were playing under Rodgers may well have lost twice in Edinburgh, who knows.

He deserves more time for the performances to come and has done well in getting the results needed.

    We're lucky he was available.

2 for 2 and and unbeaten in the domestic cup competitions, so same as Lenny.

Rodgers had turned things around and brought us an 8 point lead over the Huns before he walked. No need to rewrite history just because he did the dirty on us.

Of course we do. That’s a completely different point than Rodgers leaving having little or no effecf on our football or philosophy.

One of those games was away from home(Unless I'm forgetting another) it took a 90 minutes+ to win that, so what's changed?

Edit: we won at St Johnstone too.

We won 2 away since the break. And you're the one who said things had changed.

How is it rewriting history by saying we’ve struggled away from home this season? In those 2 games away from home, we scored a very late winner at Kilmarnock and 2 late goals at McDiarmid Park. He hadn’t turned it around really but he was starting to learn how to grind out wins. Which I was delighted to see btw but we were still struggling. Lenny can’t just wave a magic wand and change that instantly.
