Let Turnbull, Soro, Hazard, Klimala etc. Go out and win their first final and give them an even bigger boost.

I think we both know he's going to play hence why he didn't get on the pitch today. As I said I can live with him starting for one more game. After that, sub appearances when we are winning.

 

Scott Brown has been my fav Celtic player since he signed, and it will be a while until I find another player ill ever like so much, he has been an amazing servant to us and I hope that we have around the club for many years to come, he has earned that right. However, he has been * for most of this season and on form does not deserve to play, the king is dead, long live the king, bring him on in the last min when we are 3-0 up for all i care but he should not be starting this or any game for the rest of the season.

 

Never mention 67 again, then. Or Stein, Larsson, Seville...
No point getting annoyed at probably losing 10iar either, since 9 of them were in the past, it's no different from any other title.

This is the type of thinking that ends up with us having Lennon as manager and regressing as a club.

Lennon is still a very lucky man to be in a job at this point.

Playing last season's players is a wonderful sentiment but when he's in desperate need of results and the team building momentun, he would be off his rocker to change it.

Tinker with it and it goes awry, he will come under ferocious criticism again.

We should be operating under a meritocracy and Soro & Turnbull should be played on the basis of their last 2 performances. The only guy I would sub out would be Eddie for Klimala/Ajeti

 

We simply have to play the best team as this is our only chance of a trophy this season, as embarrassing as that is in December.

 

Which is why we should be using our best current players to win it, not relying on reputations that exceed talent.

What exactly is your point then? I said Broony has shown us loyalty and always given his all for us and you said I should stop living in the past as some kind of blanket ban. So what exactly is your specific reason for not taking Broony's service into account for this. Bear in mind, when you answer, that he should be more than good enough to do just fine against a team from a lower league.

 

Soro and Turnbull don’t need rested though. They need games.

The whole team needs a few games together with the new midfield.

 

I'm not saying he should start in the League, I'll be angry if Lenny does that. I'm not even saying that he SHOULD start against Hearts. I'm saying that Lenny had a point: certain players have earned this and that should be taken into account when picking the team. Add to that the fact that we should have comfortably more than enough to beat Hearts and I'm comfortable if Lenny picks Broony for this. I get it.

 

So Lennon using sentiment for Brown over experience for the likes of turnbull and soro in winning silverware? I despair.
