Everything is negotiable. As fans we have the tendency to look at football contracts in a very black and white manner, but that’s rarely the case in any industry with so much money on the table.

If Lennon was to hand in his resignation outfight then he would be likely to miss out on any payout, but that doesn’t stop him from saying to Lawwell “this isn’t working, let’s open discussions about my severance package and work something out”.

In not doing that, he does deserve some of the blame here.

Bit unfair on Kennedy.. hey John, go to Milan and take one for the board. Nah, let Lenny increase his terrible stats, no need to pass off the Milan skelping on a rookie.

Pretty sure he was gone until the crowd started * about and pushing them into a corner. It was already a big back-down for them to let him go immediately after backing him, now with them backed into a corner they've doubled down and are sticking with him, but that's now 2 'positive' meetings in about 10 days, so I'd be amazed if they're not working behind the scenes and looking at no more leeway

Have they scheduled more positive zoom calls for when the huns win the league?

How does positive zoom calls, washing faces and better lounges fix, zero shape, shoddy pressing, poor rotation and usage of squad, awful set piece set up, toothless attack, lack of fitness and mind boggling match analysis and interviews......

The lot of them are a joke. Custodians of the club, who hate their best, most major loyal asset since the inception of the club. Before I would have been content with a new coaching team. Now its imperative we have change in the boardroom too. They are poisonous to line their own pockets and fill chat at the golf club.

Well they said they didn't even look at any other candidates before appointing Lennon. That just about sums up what we're dealing with here..

And whenever that happens, the manager is quickly out the door..

You can't sack Edouard, Ntcham, Christie etc. It's always the manager..

Somehow this board have just let it rumble on for month's after Ferencvaros which is utterly unbelievable. I wanted him out that night and over 3 month's later, no improvements.....this is where we are..

There's a way to protest... and the 'fans' outside CP the other night completely * up!

I've no doubt that NL would have been gone by now had it not been for those scenes.

What an utter * of a season!

Why do you have no doubt?

Managers before him could've been sacked for fielding no strikers against a mediocre Ferencvaros team In a 1-off UCL qualifier and failing for the 2nd year in a row to bank £30m+ for the club.

Managers before him would've been sacked for the weakest performance v the Hun in living memory, defensively shambolic and failing to register a single shot on target - a performance so bad that even the worst of the worst 90s team didn't stoop to that level

Managers before would've been sacked for being scudded 4-1 at home to a Sparta Prague B team.

Managers before would've been sacked for being scudded 4-1 again by the same team 3 weeks later, when they were in the midst of their own crisis with 4 defeats in their last 5.

Trying to blame the 200 fans who are rightly furious at the mess we're in that Lennon is still here is a nonsense argument.

He's here because our board is totally incompetent. End of story.

Some * up, a couple got a bit rowdy but most just went to protest and rightly so. I wouldn't be surprised if the polis got overly physical which made things worse. The board saying they won't "boy to yobs" is deflection tactics, nothing more

Wouldn’t surprise me as the reason for him still being here is no one else wants the job. I know people will say it’s an honour to manage Celtic and you are right but at this point, who’d touch it?

Keep seeing this on twitter but nobody wants to elaborate on it. A guy through a fence yes that shouldn't have happened but other than that the big boys were shouting how will the poor millionaires cope

Is anyone here seriously suggesting that the scenes the other night won't have made the Board dig their heels in even further?

That's on them for being stubborn, not the fans.
