Yes the squad that Lenny was allowed to build and implement. The squad it took him 2 and a half years to build before it got to a place where it could get those type of results.

So how come with a vastly superior squad to Malmo and Sevco he has done so badly?

Aye, because he's shown a lot in Europe to justify such faith.

He's tactically naive, cannot change a game, doesn't know his best 11 at all and the best bit is the players don't even respect him.

Yep, I can see why you'd think he'd beat teams like Helsingborg and Karagandy

Any these people saying Lennon was a * manager actually go to games when he was manager? * sake, night and day the quality on offer back then compared to now, he got shafted off the board selling off his players and not investing after last 16 UCL. Fair enough if people do not want him back but no need to slight his record as manager here. The Hun still had a good side before they went * up, and we played quality football in the first season he was here, aye we never won the league, but was some turn around after Mowbray.

Vastly superior to Malmo? I'd say that's debatable to say the least. I don't think we did badly in those games in the end set-pieces and mainly individual errors cost us. What I will say is the Malmo team was a * of a lot tougher than Shaktar or Helsingborg.

As for Sunday? It was a poor and inexcusable performance. We under-performed by a lot, missed some good chances and conceded some poor goals.

I mean it's not as if Lenny's had so poor results against lesser teams is it?

They weren't 12 million pound players when they arrived.

I actually meant Molde whom we lost to home and away. Ironically when he came I thought he would be able to plunder the best players from the Norwegian league all whom easily are within our price range. Failure to do this while bring in Chifti, GMS and Armstrong then follow it up and buy Christie and Allen and leave them on the bench is baffling

What has that got to do with anything? They quickly proved their true price when they joined us. It doesn't matter how much they originally cost if they performed far above that.

Is Mahrez a 400,000 pound player just because that's what he cost when he arrived at Leicester?

They were less expensive than Jozo and Erik. I'm not sure what Ciftci cost but it would be nearly enough for 2 Vics

What I mean is, Lennon turned them into 12 million pound players by allowing them to express themselves in the CL.

Losing every game in the EL does not make 12 million pound players.

If Ronnie managed to turn Ciftci, Armstrong and GMS into £12million players nobody would be calling for his head:smiley-laughing002:

To me it was blatantly obvious when they signed those three were never going to be 12 million pound players. No matter who was in charge. Cant get my head around some of Ronny's signings but I would love to know exactly how much input he has had in them all.

the only flaw i seen with that statement is Ronny has turned them into £12 players you would struggle to get a penny for all 3 atm

If as a young and upcoming manager who wants to make a name for himself and progress to take a job where he has no input in the signings then he deserves what he gets.

Strangely it has not been questioned that often whether he had any input into the signings of Jozo and Erik.

I think he had an input in them all don't get me wrong, including the Dundee Utd players. I'm just questioning how much of an input, are there other people at the club who have a large say in the transfers as well?

I don't think any players were forced on him, but it's strange how he has signed players like Cifti, Allan, Christie, Cole etc and not given them a chance. Surely if he signs these players he rates them highly enough to give them an opportunity?

Also, I really do find it hard to believe he was happy to go into this season with just Griffiths and Cifti as our strikers. I don't believe for one second that he wasn't actively identifying strikers he would like before the window closed and he just wasn't backed to get them. Which is why we ended up with * Carlton Cole.

Did he request to sign any of these players Erik included is a question we should be asking, if Cole and CKR were forced on him why not have the spine to stand up to whoever said this is what you are getting

Why sign Allan and Christie but never play them, why is Roberts in the team is it because Lawwells SR and JR demand it

sadly the truth never comes out Celtic Park if Lawwell said the sky is blue i would ask someone else to clarify it first

I find it hard to understand why apart from Ajer we have not made any signings from Norway. I do think was was interference in the transfer market and maybe part of his problem is he did not push hard enough to get his own way.

Regardless of this I don't think he was the right man. We are losing to teams with a lot less talent.

Agree with that. I've sympathised with him after our European results plenty of times but the domestic performances/results have been indefensible all season.
