Was thinking about this in when watching the re-run, in terms of where does he rank now in Celtic managerial history.

This definitely makes him better than O'Neill and for the sheer fact that it was done as the 4th seed team against expensively assembled, seasoned Champions League teams, and the small matter of the greatest team in the world, makes this a more impressive achievement than Strachan's two last 16 runs. I love Gordon Strachan to bits for what he did for the club, but I never thought Lennon's team could return to that "fortress Parkhead" kind of aura we had in his tenure, not for a number of seasons anyway.

I'm guessing when he walked over to the part of the crowd he got stick from, it was an 'up yours' to the idiot who had been heckling him?

The idiot who came to Celtic park the very next day he did it to apologise to Lenny?

I highly doubt Lenny would have did that. He gets heckled from the majority of Scotland, so I'm sure he would have plenty of other targets apart from his own fans.

Was an absolute fallacy at the time, and now, well now it's been completely and utterly tore to shreds! Magic! [IMG]

To say Neil Lennon couldn't win a big game was bizarre anyway, he beat the zombies on his 1st attempt when auld watty was manager, albeit they had the league won. Was still a big game from a Tims perspective, to restore some pride from the Mowbray debacle. Coupled with the fact he was a midfield general in one of the most successful Celtic teams ever, I think he knows what it takes to win a big game :icon_mrgreen:

Exactly but its always nice to add to the list of reasons some supporters of other teams and of our own team plus football pundits don't have a feckin' clue what they are talking about :icon_mrgreen:

It's been funny this season. We've had massive wins in massive games, but now we can't win the small games against Killie and such.

To be fair - we've lost some really big, important matches under Lennon's reign.

But......we sure have had some great results under him also :icon_mrgreen:
