Don't want Mowbray back but I reckon even he could of won the league this year.

Mowbray would run away with this league. I'm becoming more and more convinced that some fans genuinely believe that this title win (and the next few seasons') are incredible, fairytale achievements. Which is of course inaccurate. That's not me digging at Lennon or defending Mowbray but putting things into perspective. The fact a team can drop 35 points and still win the league at a canter proves that.

Bringing up one off matches to bolster or refute a claim doesn't really do much for the point you're trying to make re Spartak. Lennon for example lost 4-0 away to Utrecht. I could then use that against him in the same way you've used Spartak and say "I'd rather have a manager who doesn't get pumped 4-0 to mid table Dutch teams".

    Cheer up mate, seriously.

It could be the 90s again, or we could have went the same way as the huns.

Some people are just never happy. We're winning titles and gracing the CL ffs.

My post has hee-haw to do with my feelings on Lennon, funnily enough. Just pointing out that Mowbray would've won this league. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot.

My 2nd point likewise. It's mental to judge a manager based on one match whether it be a positive or negative result. It's stupid to say I'll take Lennon because he beat Spartak away when he also got gubbed away at Utrecht, that's all. If you want Lennon to continue as manager don't leave yourself open for someone to turn the tables on you with your own point.

For what it's worth I would've replied with the exact same thing had someone advocated sacking Lennon because of one match.

And you're right, obviously it could be worse. Wish we could get some things from the 90's back though. Some of the players we had were brilliant and just unfortunately surrounded by absolute *. Would also love Burns to be managing us in our current financial climate and with absolute equality instead of what he had to contend with at the time.

I would have won the League with us this season if I was manager and giving myself a game every week lol

We might have made a * of qualifying for Europe though.

You think I'm judging the manager on one result?

I think you need to go back and read the the posts again, I was clearly being facetious because another poster was banging on about not beating Ross County.

Unreal. With everything that Lennon has done for us since becoming official manager in 2010 and what are some people concentrating on? Not winning against Ross County and lowest points tally for years :87:

So many fickle posters on here. Lapping it up when we beat Barcelona and qualify for the CL but when we have a run of bad results when the league is already WON there are people suggesting we should change the manager ? Get a grip we could end up winning the league and scottish cup. That amounts to a really good season.

I want us to be like Real Madrid

They sometimes have great success with a manager and win the Liga or Champions League but because theyre such a big club they sack him just to show him how immense a club they really are and no one is bigger than the club

So aye ..... I want Lennon to go NOW.:50:

    * football, not good to watch...

Over 40 goals at home since Christmas, averaging almost 4 goals per game.

Yep, that's * slit your wrists material that.

TBH I think the team peaked too early this season.
Normally we have really decent runs thro' Jan to Apr , but not this year.
Anyway Lennon to stay but bring in a couple and punt a couple during the summer.

We are not Real Madrid !! we are Celtic playing in one of the shittiest leagues in the world !!! we cant help where we play ...maybe if brother walfrid had sailed to spain you would have had your wish ....
I cant believe people are turning on a man who has not only guided us to 2 titles in 3 years and took us to a CL Last 16 , but risked his life and of his familys by living in the goldfish bowl that is a top SPL team in glasgow ..He could have walked away from this a long time ago , wouldnt have blamed him if he had but he stuck with it .....

I can go down and watch 40 goals in one match on the local red ash pitches, does not make it good to watch.

We are going backwards at an alarming rate under Lennon and he needs to go at the end of this season.

I would not want to see him sacked, and I believe the board would not have the balls, but do not for the life of * give him more than a 1 year rolling deal, even though he is griping about more.

    Lennon, out.
