Hes learned that going ballistic will get him nowhere. Save it for the dressing room. He's developing into a brilliant manager.

I too have noticed that he's calmed down an awful lot on the touchline. It's a little disheartening to watch actually, as I expected a bit more from him when Ledley scored against the filth to send us top of the table.

I'd love to have the 'old' Lenny back, minus all the bottled up anger and frustration, which usually ended up with him serving some sort of ban.

I can only think that he's either been told to settle down a bit from the powers that be, the attacks have had a big effect on him, or he's just naturally maturing as a manager of a huge club. It could be a combination of them all too.

I think he wasn't content with just the one goal against the Huns. The game was even, he wasn't celebrating until he went mental at the end.

Is it just me or is Ally McCoist starting to adopt Lennon's style of Management.

Lennon for me seems to be maturing more and more into the role.

Is mature the right word to use? Neil is a grown man,i believe he might be getting expert advise on how to conduct himself in a more relaxed manner.

after the huns goal on the 28th he just looks down and raised a fist, last season he would have went mental.

i suppose he is waiting untill the final whistle of the day when wee win the league title
now if he does a Strachan and goes and gets a cup a tea then i will ask questions :icon_mrgreen:

am sure he will let it all out that day :50:

I think sometimes we may forget not just that Lennon was very much a rookie manager when he got the Celtic job but that the Celtic job is so high profile and so high pressure. I think we are seeing Lennon learn and grow into the job more and more. I really do think given how well he has done so quickly that Lennon if he stays at Celtic as manager long term could really lead us to great things.

Lenny is naturally maturing as a manager, and that goes for all aspects of his management. For example, he was often criticised for his substitutions but that's improved an awful lot as of late.

He's done some job in turning this one around, get us over the line Lenny, bring it home.

I think it's a combination of everything mentioned. He's learned from the previous season but I also think it wouldn't be too far fetched to think that there have been some quiet words about not letting the media etc get to him as much. He realises that he brings negative attention on himself with his passion/anger which in turn leads to unnecessary hassle which he and no-one else can be arsed with.

    :56: nope. can't see it.

McCoist bases himself off of Walter Smith. a very, very poor Walter Smith.

Neil has been through a lot. Not just the bombs and bullets, the attacks in the street and the abuse he took playing for NI, but also how he battled through depression. He should be commended for the work he has done to raise awareness for this illness.

He has shown a lot of character throughout and he has calmed down a lot. I would imagine he can also phone MON and WGS for advice and maybe they have given him some tips on how to conduct himself better.

He's just an honest, down to Earth legend.

He's always been the same if I am honest. He was going bananas at the Falkirk game, snarling at it's finest. Running about, jumping up and down, barking instructions. No one paid it any attention.

If this was not the season of Whyte, HMRC and the death of Rangers he would still be getting bad press and live devices.

Neil has not changed and he didn't have to.

What was he doing wrong that required a change?

I wasn't suggesting that Neil Lennon was doing anything 'wrong' last season.

There's no question though that the media, and some of the manky mob, used his touchline behaviour against him at times last season. Perhaps a decision was taken to tone it down a bit this season and make it harder for people to use that excuse to vilify him.

Wasn't questioning you like that mate, I knew you didn't mean he had something to change. Worded it wrong.

The media have said he's changed for sure, but I don't see how. As I said above he was going bananas on the touchline against Falkirk. Doing pretty much everything that caused contention last season.

The real reason, I think, the media has changed is simply because their eye is fixed firmly on Ibrox and with Ibrox banning everyone, your next best bet for a story option is to stick in with Lennon.

The Govan theatre is the only thing that has stopped the persecution of Neil. If Rangers were not in trouble, had their better player stil therel and where properly going to run us for the league, they would be all over him like a bad rash.

Lenny still has the fire in his belly but this season he's been a bit more cute about things.

i voted naturally maturing but i think it was all 3 tbh the board maybe didnt say it as plainly as that but maybe engouraged a milder approach, the bullets and stuff was ridiculous and he's maybe thought i may watch but all in all i think he knows hes a good manager and focusing on that more than the hatred being thrown at him by supposed fans of football

I didn't want Lenny as a manager & had a bit of "told you so" when he fluffed the treble last season.

He's matured a lot & looks like he's got everything needed to take this club back to were it should be.

I think he'll get the triple this season, I think it hurts him that he let it slip last season.

If he gives Madge a new contract, I reserve the right to completely change my opinion.

    I'm not picky.
I think personally he's maturing as a manager. He's learning how to handle different situations and react to different situations as well.

Last year he would maybe have a "rant" about something without thinking where as this year he will maybe be a bit more subtle in how he goes about it.

We still see him ranting on the touchline when things aren't going right but to me if he didn't do anything like that it wouldn't be the same guy. He shows his heart and his passion but maybe he's just learned how to handle it differently now.

I think he's turning into a really good manager and if he keeps going we could have a decent guy at the helm for a good few years yet.
