Can't see Lennon being offered the Everton job. I think they will think he is too hot headed for them.
Lenny in PL can't see too soon, unless the favourites knock the job back at Everton.
Lenny will end up somewhere like Leicester or Forest in Championship first.

Say lennon did go, who do you think the board would replace him with? I think if by some crazy reason it did happen, MON would be the only candidate the board could go with. Just so they can keep that connection with the fans.

Ancelotti has been touted as the favorite for the Madrid job when Mourinho leaves.

To be fair, I don't think Lennon's stock will ever be higher than it is right now. He's coming off the back of a Champions League run that most likely will not be repeated during his stay with us, and he's cleaning up domestically.

The Everton job isn't to be sniffed at, and considering he's pretty much won all he can with the club and taken us as far in Europe as he realistically can it could be argued that the time is right for him to move on.

Put it this way, If Everton do come in for him and he knocks them back, I don't see another club as prestigious as them coming in for him later on down the line when the Champions League run is a distant memory. It'll be the Championship most likely at that point.

If he's smart, he'd jump at the chance to manage Everton next season.

Why should he jump at the chance "if he's smart"?

Are you saying managing Everton is a more attractive proposition than managing Celtic?

Financially, and career-wise, yes. He gains nothing continuing to manage here. Not even Celtic fans respect his achievements.

But, but, Madrid won't even have Ancelotti, let alone Lennon being somehow involved. :97:

Financially, probably. Career wise, no way.

Everton have been taken as far as they can go by Moyes and the only way now is sideways or down.

Very true. It must be a truly worrying time for an Everton fan. Their next management change could be hugely intrinsic, the difference between EPL and relegation, I feel. That's how great Moyes influence has been. They could be another West Ham, Leeds, etc.

All my pals who support Everton down here don't want him as manager, but if he gets offered the job i really think he would take it

Madrid's president has already offered Carlo the job, what does Neil have to do with it?

At this point, yes. What else can he achieve at Celtic? He'll most likely never better that European run, and we all know that league & cup wins in Scotland will come virtually every season.

In short, there's no challenge for him here.

I think Lenny has more respect for his job as Celtic manager than most on here who think he should go running off to the epl at the first sniff at a job.

To those who say he can do no more at Celtic maybe they should expand and speculate on how he will improve Everton. It is more likely in my opinion that Celtic can go one step further in the CL than Everton qualifing for the competition.

There is ten in a row to aim for and the chance to be remembered 100 years from now, to be talked about in the same breath as Maley and Stein.

He already left once and said he regretted it.

I think people underestimate the depth of the man's feeling for the club.

Unfortunately even ten league titles in a row won't put him anywhere near the likes of Stein. The fact is we're playing in a one team league, and will be for the next few years.

In fact, I really hope we don't win 10 in a row, because I wouldn't want to see our nine in a row sides eclipsed by sides who are winning a one horse race.

That's what it will come down to really. If he's ambitious though he'll make the move. Any manager worth his salt would relish the chance of trying his hand in one of the biggest leagues on the planet.

The chance may not come around again anytime soon.

To be fair, NL has already admitted that managing down South is an aspiration of his, so repeating that in terms of the allure of the EPl is hardly a crime.
