Without a doubt, the man deserves all the credit in the world. Looking at the performances he's getting from Wilson, Mulgrew, Brown, Samaras, etc. That is entirely Lenny's work. That and galvanizing what was clearly a group of individuals under TM into what appears to be a band of brothers has been his most impressive achievement so far. Factor in his incredibly shrewd signing in the transfer market (Murphy aside, though with how Mulgrew now looks I wouldn't put it past Lenny to turn him into a 20-goal man) and I'm more than happy with giving him a long-term deal. I think it needs to be done now.

Hope he's here for the long run. Hope the board give him what he's worth because they know that this is the main job in the world to him and hope they dont try and short change him .

My posts on here confirm my personal support for the Lenny Bhoy. Today when big forster got sent off, I think most of us were scratching our tumshies, wondering where we go from here. To be honest, I was thinking take off Ledley, then I thought Ki, but if I am honest, me being me, I would never have dreamed of taking Kayal off, he has been brilliant for us since he came back from his hernia op. But today I gotta say to Lenny, you were spot on Lenny, a very brave man, but that decision and that performance today, I think will cement Lenny's position as Celtic manager. Lenny, I'm greatly proud of you wee man, the Celtic jersey wont need to shrink, to fit you. Brilliant Lenny, like I have said before, you took up the reigns when guys like Coyle, Lambert, and Moyes, hadn't the bottle. Keep the faith, in Lenny we trust. :celt_2:

Sorry Kenny u are rite mate, i was wrong when I said kayal, when Forster went off, just shows u my heeds still in the clouds. Point I was trying to make tho, was every substitution decision today was extremely difficult, cos I didn't think we had a bad player on the park. Sorry mate :87:

He made a lot of mistakes before January and his inexperience came very close to losing the league. So I would still say we gambled at a time when Rangers already had 2 in the bag and we shouldnt have been gambling. However, he has suddenly turned a corner and is doing brilliant. Its like night and day. IMO a team like us should never gamble on a novice but sometimes even long shots win.

I think a light went on in Lennys head in January and he stopped trying to play idealised winger based football. We now look a team with huge strength. Basically we have not looked like a team since about January 2009 and now two years later we almost overnight look like a team again with character and strength.

Very much so, It's okay making mistakes but you have to learn from them and it would appear Lenny is doing so :50:

He's now due a contract - no doubt in my mind.

The players are running through walls for him & squad unity is at it's highest for years.

Mulgrew, Brown, McCourt & Forrest have all really excelled under Lenny.

He's done great in his transfers, with the exception of Murphy.

He's ahead on Walter Myth in head to heads & is unbeaten at Ibrox.

    Class.

Done a great job for us so far, his signings have been top class, also seems to be getting the most out of the players that are already here.

Still think the title must be won before a contract. He has done amazing but he was in the dog house only 5 weeks back. He has made some good signings and has devised a nice blend of strength and skill and we really ought to win. If we dont win with this team there will have had to be some sort of horrible collapse and Lenny would have to take responsibilty for that. So, lets get the title in the bag first.

I dont think there are too many managers who could have came in and turned things around the way Lennon has. Completely brought in a new team and got them to gel. As has been said, the players are mentally very strong. Think of a few Celtic teams in recent seasons that would have crumbled today.

I would love him to get a contract, I like what he is doing now and I can see him being very successful for us. The fans are behind him, the players are behind him , top of the league, in the cups and has us playing some good football.

Post from RM that I found interesting:

Walter, Ally and Kenny; get the notepads out and take note. Today you were outfoxed by a smelly wee bigot. That's right. Neil Lennon embarrassed us tacticly today and that is something that you cannot let happen again.

We set up today with 4 across the middle and that was our first mistake. Celtic stuck 3 in the middle up against Edu and Ness and we struggled. Don't get me wrong, we made a cracking start and well done Jamie Ness on an absolute wonderstrike, but our early domination didn't last long. Celtic got the ball down and started passing it about. That extra man in the middle of the park always gave them an option for the pass. Always. They were passing it about without us getting anywhere near them. Fortunately, we made the change and moved Davis inside to help Edu and Ness, and we did see a difference. We got ourselves back into the game and got the penalty after a great move. Celtic went down to 10 men and we're looking great, right?

Wrong. It was here that Neil Lennon really got us by the balls and outfoxed us. What he done was take off Commons and keep his team very narrow. Brown was their playmaker with literally everyone else sitting in the middle of the park. Then they had their full backs booming up and down the wing (almost entirely untracked might I add) and the ball went from left back, to Brown, to right back as they passed their way through the game. Our response was, well...not a lot. We didn't adjust to suit and found ourselves getting pulled inside to try and and cope with their numbers, leaving acres for their fullbacks to run into. There was almost never anybody on Mark Wilson. Neil Lennon got his tactics spot on when they went down to 10, and we got it all wrong.

I thought we should have started off a little more offensively, we looked a much better team when we pushed Commons up just behind the striker. However, I thought Lennon made the correct changes when needed today and our tactics were a massive reason behind our success.

Today felt like a victory, not just because of our domination but because it once again proved Lennon has finally stumbled across a winning formula and has learned from his mistakes very quickly.

    Neil Lennon is an icon.

I maintain we should've stuck with 4-4-2 and the team that's been playing so well. We took 15 minutes to grow into the game and we looked uncomfortable with the formation.

Like you say, he realised pretty quickly it needed to be changed and credit to him for that, I just think if we'd started with the 'form side' it could have been a much more comfortable afternoon and we'd be booking our supporters buses to Inverness already.

Too much respect given to a poor huns side for me.

I was surprised at the line up, but cant argue with the tactics when we had to change things.

    Good man Lenny :50:
