it could truly get embarassing if results didn't come. I would not blame him for avoiding it.

No way! I guarantee (despite the fact I obviously wasn't on this forum during his tenure) there would have been hate thread upon hate thread for the guy. I certainly wouldn't want to watch that kind of football again. Alright it gave us success and it was better than we have now but I couldn't stomach it.
I think threads like these are desperation threads; just searching in to the past for the last time we had a little bit of success, using it as some kind of comfort blanket.
We can do better than Strachan. We need to look forward not backward.

Spot on Lubo mate, ask any fan who paid to watch the crap he had our team playing, and I think the answer will be a big no no. Failure at Coventry, and sacked, detested by fans, same failure at M/boro, and sacked, also detested by fans. Ok, some of you will argue, but he won 3 in a row for us, last 16 Champions League twice, but who did he win the league against, nobody, there's yours answer. Do you see any clamouring for his signature from any top teams ? No compensation fee to be paid, free to walk into any club, but the answers still no. Who says, every picture doesn't tell a story ?

No way, out the chip pan into the fire. Need someone who has loads of managerial experience at the top level but we won't.

    No we have a manager.

People complain about lennons experience, yet want to employ another inexperienced manager? Doesn't make sense.

Brendan Rodgers is a good shout but he's just taken Swansea to the Premiership so I don't see it.

IMO no matter how unlikely it is, DD should dig deep and get Martin O'Neill back.

Keane took Sunderland from the bottom of the Championship and got them promoted which is more than Lennon achieved. Not sure if he's the man for Celtic but we could do worse.

Completely disagree with this apart from possibly the psychopath part. Average manager so far, great leader and far from a traitor.

I agree with the bit in bold, however i'm not really sure you can compare Roy Keane's inexperience with Neil Lennon's.
This is Neil Lennon's very first job in management, it wouldn't be Roy Keane's.
I'm not saying I would be happy with his appointment just don't think someone who has guided a team from the Championship to the Premiership can be classed as 'inexperienced'. That wasn't his only job either.

Jaume Porté, from Catalonia, he is Celtic minded to the core (that worked with Neil Lennon, so I should try ).
