Funny how Mowbray got promoted from the Championship and Lennon will likely get relegated if he doesn't get sacked before that

    I think that's the case. They're losing £1 million a month apparently.

    The irony....

Unpaid Bolton players could opt to leave, says Neil Lennon

Aye he should have stayed and fulfilled the agreement made in having Ronny as number 2 for a season or 2.

Nothing you can really do about it though, Bolton ended last season with an ok team but it was still a team in danger of relegation and then they started this season with a much worse team.

Theres nothing Lennon could do tbh, was just about certain to get relegated before a ball was kicked due to them being garbage.

Probably everyone at Bolton knew they were going down this season. Warning signs were there when they were signing guys like Gudjohnsen, Heskey and Ameobi who are probably earning peanuts as they'd be retired if Bolton never signed them.

Probably accumulated loads of debt trying to stay in the Prem for years, trying to compete for mid table. Once you cant continue that trend, problems arrive sharp and fast. Financial mismanagement basically.

Watched the 17 game winning run he went on after our terrible start in his 2nd seasons, absolutely loved that, got plaers back from injury and it all clicked, some absolute incredible football in that period.

How people can say they were bored watching Lennon's Celtic amazes me.

I think his footballs been the most entertaining I've seen at Celtic Park since Tommiy Burns. Obviously O'Neill's was a lot higher quality but the interplay and clever movement between the players under Lenny was something else.

Changed every year as well, kept adapting to different styles but kept up a high level of entertainment for me. Loved his time here.

I think we were at our best in his first season, when Commons joined.

The full-backs bombed forward as Brown tucked in from the right to give us a solid midfield 3, and Commons/Maloney would drift in from the left and link in a triangle with Hooper and Stokes.

But then when we went to a diamond in his last season, we were equally fun to watch, with runners coming from everywhere.

Aye people said Lennon wasnt tactically good a lot but I think he was a very clever manager tactically, he played numerous formations which worked most of the time, he mostly got good results in Europe against good teams and even at Bolton, despite being a very poor team they dont lose that much for how bad they are and they rarely get pumped even though again they really should get horsed more often as they are awful.

You could say we took bad beatings off AC, Juve and Barcelona but we also played fairly well against AC Milan and Juve. Strachan got decent results in Europe but played much more negatively than Lennon and at a time when we could afford a higher calibre of experienced player, Lennon got good results with random cheap signings of mostly young players.

Criminal that we threw away the league in Lennon's first season. Totally agree with the football being brilliant to watch. Loved it.

Aye it was criminal, showed you his inexperience shone threw. He reverted to outright 442 that we weren't getting any joy with because Ledley got injured. Gambling with Ledley's fitness cost us that season as well.

Still though, we were Hamilton's offside goal away from winning the league after the shambles that was Tony Mowbray. 92 points that season, very rarely does that lose you the league. For as shocking as that Hun team was, Walter Smith was a grinding pain in the hoop.

Yep. Walter Smith had the beating of Strachan, and we didn't beat Rangers under Mowbray. Lennon turned that around pretty quickly.
