Peter Liewell please read this thread and realise the fans won't take Roy Keane. I am sick of all this has to be a celtic man *. We need a manager who can motivate players and instill a winning mentality. But knowing the celtic board they will go for the cheap option and we will still be moonwalking backwards like michael jackson.

 

A massive step backwards. He Was a success here but when he left he went Middlesbrough and was shocking. we need too look to the future

I'm sure that he would make a difference and maybe get the best out of the squad. However, it will never happen.

 

Not for me. Too many bad signings that a Celtic manager couldn't afford to make now. He'd be up against a Rangers team that might not be world beater but at least get results in the SPL more consistently than the ones he beat to the league and I seriously doubt he'd be able to recreate the success he had first time.

 

Dont know if he would come bak here mate ,he was hounded out by half the support which is a great shame, wot needs to be said is most hated the football we played under wgs although winning it was not the celtic way but we have to conceed that the celtic way wins you nothing unless you are supremely tallented to go with it and we cant afford players like this.

 

Totally agree.... there are, unfortunatly, some of us that are just to fickle. We need to get back to winning ways and then worry about how we do it!

If I was Gordon, I would not come back to Celtic for all the tea in China.

We treated him like a * leper, despite him being the second most successful manager in our history.

No. I was a fan of WGS and defended him a lot during his tenure but I don't see the point in going back. If Lenny leaves then I'd rather someone new got the job.

Lennon should be out the door on his * by now this is not good enough , but due to the fact he is Lennon and hates the huns blah blah - the blind keep on wanting to give him time how many points do people want us to the lose the league by?

It's not working he has had his chance and it's time to go he should never have got the job in the first place but it's the board giving the fans want they wanted .

Lennon gets the job and we listen to all the pish about how he will be the next Pep Guardiola well right now he is looking like the new Barnes .

I don't think WGS would be interested in returning anyway.

Well if the decision was mine and Lenny left I'd first try to push the boat out for Moyes - which realistically won't happen.

If not then I'd look at Coyle as that may suit all parties. Hughes is out of a job, we could do infinitely worst the Curbishley. There's tonnes of other options. Narrow minded that people simply say MON and WGS.

I would not be unhappy if our transfer budget for January went on extra wages for a quality manager. The players we have now are good enough for the SPL but we need a manager to get the best out of them. For me now the priority is not our defence but in securing a manger of the highest quality.
