Aye. I don't attempt to judge people's character by their posts though :87:

Must congratulate you on your sarcasm, my friend:celt_2:

On a wee side note, and before you go accusing me of trooling, were you not one crying for Lennys head a couple of weeks ago, oh loyal one?:celt_2:

A couple of weeks ago... before we started winning again you mean? Aye, probably said some things in the heat of the moment in match threads and stuff.

Its a fairly common thing in football. Even the likes of Sir Alex are not immune from criticism from time to time. Do you reckon they were giving a * about SAF's previous achievements when they were getting tanked 6-1 at Old Trafford?

    Agree with this :50:

Best time to be judged in my opinion - at the END of the season and not only 3 months in.

I dunno, I thought we were pretty poor in the first half as well tbh. Obviously a lot worse in the second half but still we were lucky to be leading IMO.

You don't know for 100% fact but you guarantee it IS over for them? :97: Contradiction there and I'm not trying to "score points" at all. I'm taking part in an on-line forum and I am putting my opinion's across and I never realised that I wasn't allowed to compare valid situations.

Situations are not entirely different at all. They are 12 points behind Man City (league leaders) - we are 12 points behind huns (league leaders). Until it's impossible for them to win the league, same as us, it's NOT over. What is so hard to see about THAT situation?

If you don't care then why do you continue to keep replying? Just because you're not willing to see the valid situation it doesn't mean that it's bullshit and I brought Liverpool into it because it's an EXAMPLE. Didn't realise I wasn't allowed to do this either and just because you're not willing to see it is not my fault.

Yeh that's what I mean mate. first 25 mins or so we were on that back foot but once we got it to 1-1 and got that VERY lucky second goal I thought we would have really pushed on from that. Just * off over the second half performance more than anything I think.

Anyway, here's hoping that the Inverness match is a much needed win and confidence booster for Lennon and the team :50:

How is it a contradiction? Guarantee and fact have two different definitions mate.

The situations are entirely different. They may be 12 points off the lead but they're sitting 5th in the table in a league with Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Spurs and a rejuvenated Arsenal side. 12 points behind a side of Man City's quality is too much of a gap and you know it.

Let's say we're 9 points behind the Huns, we still have 3 matches against the team we're 9 points behind. It's technically in our hands. Our only challenger is the Huns. A team packed with *. Their challengers are teams packed with Rooney's, Silva's, Aguero's, Mata's, Bale's, Nani's et al.

The circumstances are extremely different. We have a shot of winning the league, they realistically don't. The only thing that is similar is the points gap, every other aspect is different.

its not slagging off the manager to highlight his terrible record. Who was the last manager to lose 2 in a row with the second title being lost by Halloween. And we are not speaking of Rangers 9 in a row years when the outspent most of Europe. Lennon has had enough money but not invested most of it wisely.

even now we are looking at midfielders when we are still crying out for a half decent centre half.

It's a contradiction because in one breath you are saying that you can't say for 100% that either us or Liverpool will NOT win the league even though there is such a big gap but you are guaranteeing that it won't happen for Liverpool. I'm sorry but that's a contradiction in terms mate.

It may be realistically too much of a gap for them to win the title and I'm not doubting that BUT there is still the chance that they can win it isn't there? Surely you have to agree with me on that one and see what I'm trying to say. If there wasn't a chance that they could win it then why should they carry on if it's over now just because they are sitting in 6th place with the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham ahead of them?

*, I mean even Newcastle are in 3rd place right now - who would have thought THAT?! :56: I'm just trying to point out that with it only being November anything can - and probably will - happen.

I can see what you're saying regarding the teams that Liverpool are playing against but their team is not exactly full of diddies either. Just like I said though I'm not comparing league over league. I'm comparing situations - OUR situation in OUR league and the same for them. I know that they are up against a higher class of players to get to that title than what we are up against to get to ours but they do still have players that can get it going too with Kuyt, Suarez, Gerrard etc. Other teams have taken points from them this season just as the likes of Kilmarnock, Hibs and St Johnstone have done against us.

Once again, I'm just trying to highlight that it's not over with only 3 months of the season gone as there are still at least 6 to go. If we can get on a wee run it will boost confidence for us, it will cast doubt in the minds of the huns (who seem to be getting cockier, not more confident, as the comments from Jellylegs recently indicate, and that will come at a price eventually), we win our game in hand and at LEAST the two we have against them then we are right back in it because that is 9 points there alone. We win against them that's an instant gap-closure of 6 points. We just have to concentrate on winning our games which will put pressure on the manky mob and really I can't see that team coping with any kind of pressure as was proved against Falkirk, Malmo and Maribor.

They won't go on without losing points and while I can't guarantee that I highly DOUBT they won't drop points. Gaysmith is out for a start and if they get any more injuries like how we have had then they will be in real trouble. They will have to sell before they can buy in January and the only real assets they have are their main players like Jellylegs, McGregor, Davis and Gaysmith. Well, one down three to go :icon_mrgreen:

Hopefully with a win against Inverness next weekend, another wee boost in confidence we can go on a run and get right back into it.

How has it been lost? The league title has until May to go before it's decided - not until November.
