Back to the OP, WE do not have any songs that are sectarian, we do not hold any grudges or discrimination towards any other religions when we are a club that welcomes any color, race, religion and ethnic background.

Its a alien term "sectarianism" branded at celtic supporters when clearly our symbols of our club are completely different, we fly both catholic and protestant flag (tri-color) our support base is not a fascist minded based club into only welcoming one religion.

This term is uneducated around the world by pro-brit media on our support and needs to clarified that our songs are all irish history songs.

And really its * annoying and beyond belief getting branded as sectarian its really down to uneducated individuals and deluding the nation into thinking were just as bad as the huns.

    * SICK EH IT! time to wake the * up.

What? Is it normal for the first thing people thought of when Lenny was attacked is 'lets sings songs about the IRA to get our own back'. That is absurd and childish.

No we sing the rebels but we stop short of singing the "provocative" stuff, because we have learned, unlike them, how to behave the way they want us too,we won the best fans in Europe tag while we sang these songs, just watch the Road to Seville DVD fs,and it is not a minority singing the supposedly evil add-ons.There is jack * wrong with them,it's the same select few,the ones that inform users on this site that they are British, that have a problem, and it shouldn't be our problem-it isn't-it's theirs.
They'll always find something,if it isn't the songs,it'll be the tri colour,or our colours,or whatever else they dream up.

OK I am not going to post another word on this. However I will say that there is a very unhealthy discouragement of people with a range of views. If you are not from an Irish/republican point of view you get called names and accused of being self loathing, closet hun etc. BTW not being into the Irish republican stuff is not self-loathing because I aint Irish, am overwhelmingly non-Irish in blood, and I aint a catholic. So there is no Irish republican catholic 'self' to loath. A club open to all backgrounds and political creeds as long as you keep your mouth shut and head down if they dont fit the norm

When provoked, or feeling aggrieved, football fans will always do the thing they know will * off the opposition's fans the most. You can say it's childish, and maybe in a way it is, but that is the way football fans react in the heat of the moment.

I find it offensive that you see songs about Irish freedom fighters as "stooping to their level".

The term "freedom fighters" is now a broken term. A killer nowadays can be a freedom fighter to anybody.

Those who fought for the tragically beautiful land that is Ireland should not be placed in the same category as some who are branded freedom fighters.

They were Irish Republican Revolutionaries. They were nothing but that. They were heroes but again some people's heroes are not but those who fall wrongly into the category of "freedom fighters." To bicker on about what they fought for and if they were freedom fighters is redundant.

I am not Irish and have no delusions of that I am Irish. There is a flame in my heart though; it burns in me and runs through my veins. A bright day it will be when Ireland is whole once again but sadly singing at a football match does nothing for the cause. It does not hurt it, though, and if looked upon through unbiased, unbigoted eyes it should not harm the football fans image or the club they support.

    Let the people sing

    Doesn't really matter does it.
As we shall see this coming season the PLC will look to ban any season ticket holder who goes against the PLC rules.
And if the PLC don't want you shouting or singing anything they find offensive, your out the stadium.
