Sad to see him leave. He plays football the Glasgow Celtic way and there wont be nearly as much aniticipation and opposition fear from a free kick outside the box. My beat memory of him was when we won against St.Mirren at Love St. with a last minute Naka free kick. I was actually in the St.Mirren end and i jumped up and shouted ''* yaas'' to much ''* offs'' and ''what the * are you doin here'' 's from the St.Mirren fans. I ran out after that :icon_mrgreen:. Anyway, he has been by far my favourite player through the Strachan era and hope we play him in a friendly or something or he comes back to play an international against Scotland - that would be good.

Winner at Ibrox or the goal that clinches the league will be forthcoming, I can sense it.

Hopefully a last day title party will be the perfect send off for him.

Ignore him, he's a bitter man. He'll really cry next season, when we play dull football.

I'm a realist, not bitter, and not blinded by adulation.

Far superior players have left Celtic in the past and we've survived. It'll be no different when your idol goes.

We will not go down, but the quality of our football will drop. You'd realize this if you were a realist. Since you aren't, I'll explain the situation. McGeady cannot/won't pass to other teammates, that makes him a solo player-bad for our side. Can't shoot that well either. Brown is good for us with his destruction capability, but he's got little skill. Robson is like him, but with a bit better shot and a decent cross. Hartley-see Brown, maybe a decent corner taker. Maloney is better than McGeady, isn't greedy at least, can shoot, but he isn't a playmaker. Plus he's injury prone. Mizuno-a terrific winger, but is only a winger, and can't ping out passes to everyone else. Flood-mix between Robson and Brown. Crosas is the only one that can pass the ball expertly, but he's young and inexperienced, unfinished product. And just one quality passer in the team is not enough for a side that aims at CL success.
Do you now see that we'll have big trouble when Nakamura leaves?

    We'll replace him though LNF.

I do agree we'll miss him, purely because he's integral to the way Strachan wants to play but we'll move on. We've had to deal with Henrik leaving so we'll cope with Naka leaving as well, it happens.

We've got a stingy board. That's what worries me. If we had a board that is ready to spend money when we need it, I'd rest in peace because N. Kranjčar would be signed in the summer window for 10M, which we have. Since the board won't touch the money, I'm scared.

We have a prudent board that will do the best for the club.

We don't have £10 million to spend on anyone, in fact if we don't make the Champions League we have less than nothing to spend on anyone.

We will miss him when he leaves but we will not be in big trouble, better players than Naka have left and we were fine.

Players come and go all the time, teams are always evolving so I'll wish him well and have some fond memories but will be looking out for the next star to grace the hoops.

It won't cost 10 million to replace Naka though.

It never cost ten million for Naka.

Look about the world. They are there to be found; two years ago Luka Modric would be available for 2-3 million.

That's what we need to look for, either that or go for the Di Canio's of this world

We will get to the CL this year, but to do well in the groups, we must have adequate players. A good playmaker is of extreme importance to us. We've killed our debt, and a good investment shouldn't be a problem. Next season will be very interesting to see. If the gaffer has an AM lined up, we're saved. If not, oh my...

You really are mad as a hatter.:56:

Your userid is Leone Naka Fan. The answer is kinda right there Leone. I don't really need you telling me about Celtic mate because I am a Celtic fan more than a Naka fan. Now before Dusty gets all excited I'm not calling you a hun or suggesting that you don't want success for Celtic but you describe yourself as a Naka Fan. Take my word it for it Leone Celtic will go along fine after Naka has gone. I repeat - far better players than him have left and we've got on with it. I realise that you are somewhat obsessed with Naka (and to a lesser extent Mizuno) but this makes you biased about him. Have a look at my comments on Naka's touch in the other thread. I am fair and BALANCED re Naka, you undeniably are not.

The reality is we'll cope without him. We may even sign other players in the summer, we have already the best collection of midfielders in the SPL. McGeady was player of the year last season, by a mile; Maloney is a good player; Crosas can hopefully become a regular and be a player who gets the ball pinging about for us; Robson has shown himself to be a good player for us and he can hopefully recapture that form; Hartley does a good defensive job when required; Brown looks like player of the year this year.

You are the one who can't see reality because you are the one who is obsessed.

    You're awful melodramatic Leone :icon_mrgreen:

Of all the areas in our side midfield is the one we shouldn't need to worry about. Maybe your other pal Mizuno will step up to the plate. Time will tell.

Sorry but there are much more important areas of the team that need shoring up first, the midfield can cope.
