to me success is important but so is pride. I couldn't really support a team full of mongs and huns

 

Naismith is no better than McGeady or Riordan- Fact.

Where abouts would Nasimith play because hes not a striker hes more of a winger and we already have Naka on the right and 2 decent left sided players

 

He can play as a striker and cld play just behind the front line.

Still hoping for a defender signs. But will not have any problem if we signing another midfielder or striker if he actully is better than McDonald, Riordan or Sno. But I don't think we need another squad player from the SPL.

A useful defender (rb, dc or backup to Naylor) or larger foreign name to the offensive.

Maloney wont come back and who would * take him.

As for naismith, think the money could be spent better elsewhere - although I do rate him.

 

I would take Maloney back like a shot. Losing him shattered me and made me question what the point of a youth system was. I think it really shattered WGS too and he said so and called Shaun 'the special one'. Him going is one of the main reasons we were crap in the 2nd half of last seasion IMO. He had everything (except height) and he was probably our best home grown youth product in 15 years. Only Liam Miller came close to causing that level of dissapointment. I think they both were daft but they were also pretty young so I dont hold grudges. They both left 2 or 3 years earlier than would have been sensible from a career point of view. We never bought another quality wide player to replace Shaun and thats left us short in that department. Problem is if Shaun had been in-contract he would have been wrth 6 million and we would not pay that out for a replacement. I dont think Naismith is near as good as Shaun but he is pretty decent and no other wingers seem to be on offer so I would be pretty happy if he came.

 

Earlier on in this thread some1 said they wouldnt sign Naismith because he is a hun and he wouldnt have any pride. Well you wouldnt have pride if Maloney whom we had nurtured and cared for even when he had a long time injury then said he was staying but left came back. He wasnt loyal and dosent desrve to be back in the green and white even tho yes he was goo when he was here . It would be like the huns taking Barry back. Also 1-2mill u would pay did we not let him go for free?

If you are from Glasgow or thereabout its 90% certain you will support one or the other depending on the accident of birth of your families religion. So saying no more Rangers supporters in as good as saying no more protestants in west-central Scotland. We are better than that. Some of the most important people in our history have been from Rangers families including Jock Stein, Kenny Dalglish, Roy Aitken, Danny McGrain etc. We dont recruit on the basis of religious affiliation. We leave that sort of thing to Rangers. If we ever become such a club I am offski.
