Well you can almost always "force" them to like or to do what you want, if you dont use "force" but reward and if you are subtle.

My eldest hates rangers without even knowing much about them. For him its like playing heroes and villains. One day this is deeply engrained in his mind so it is too late to really question it anymore.:smiley-laughing002:

Get a lot of trouble from my wife for that cos everytime he sees a unionflag (the most iconic symbol he attaches to them..no matter if printed on bags, shirts or toys)he yells booo...scheiss rangers...:56:

Theres no big deal as there are no Rangers supporters around here but a day in glasgow with him could be an interesting experience. He would argue and push 2 Meter 150kg rangers men i fear. He thinks nothing can happen to him when Daddy is with him:52:

Its all just a bit of fun and my wife is trying to counter it a bit by saying" they re not all bad"..

Haha, that is funny. :smiley-laughing002: How old is he?

And I agree with you that you should use reward, not force. Children will often do the opposite if they are forced to do something.

If I had children, I would not be happy if they supported them.

A wee guy walked up to my boy in the playground the Monday after the game with the zombies there. Giving it "rangers won rangers won" and my boy just looked at him and went "I only like Celtic " wae a big straight face :56: bearing in mind he's only 5 and has aspergers syndrome, I couldny have been a prouder da, totally didn't expect it:icon_mrgreen:

See this is why you don't have Hun 'mates'. They are disease ridden vermin who want to infect even us taigs.

Next time he mentions Rangers he should be * uppercuted over the back of the sofa.
    Man up.

I honestly think it's a terrible thing to go against the club your family support if you're a football fan. Football should be some common thing you can share with your da from youth through to adulthood.

I knew a guy who's dad was a die-hard Celt, but this guy had to be different and growing up in the 90s decided to support the Huns just to be different/awkward/smarter than everyone (this is the kind of guy he is). His Dad died fairly recently and, while I'm sure they were close, I wonder if he regrets how many great times they could have had if he had decided not to be awkward and follow Celtic with his auld da..

I would be genuinely gutted if I had a kid that decided to actively support Sevco, so I would probably just explain that to them. Fortunately my girlfriend is Celtic daft and wouldn't tolerate it

Other than that he is nice and cute and great:smiley-laughing002:

Throw him in solitary confinement for a month with Johnny Mac and The Faithful on repeat.

In fact, on second thoughts, maybe the Wolfetones is a better option. Johnny is enough to turn anyone blue:56:

I'd put him in a carrier bag with his favourite Spider-Man toy and leave him outside a police station

He has to go I'm afraid
