I highly doubt we've actually been offered 10 mil for anyone, it's all just paper-talk. We got less than that for McGeady. Having said that, a quality left-back is a very rare find, as every Celtic fan knows. I'm with Gunt and Hammer, it'd be best for him and Celtic if he stayed next season and was able to perform on the European stage. As long as he shows close to what he's done in Scotland his value would be at it's peak and he'd be able to command a higher wage from his next club.

Hope to * he remains at Celtic Park next season - hope we can bring back European nights to Paradise, but as mentioned every player has a price.

Every player has his price, unfortunately. The board would be silly to totally ignore a big bid for any of our players especially in the current financial climate and the way the Scottish game is going money-wise. They just have to go the same way as Newcastle with Carrol, we don't want to let him go and the only way we will sell is if we're offered big bucks.

I think he'll stay for at least another season, especially if we get into Europe, because he does seem to be a real down to earth guy and has really taken to the club.

the english are always banging on about ashley cole being the best LB in the UK, ive watched both, and granted they were playing a different calibare of oppisition, but izzy looks alot better than cole going forward and defending and i recon he's faster too.

    10 mill plus easily

Izzy, good player, technically good, though he has not played against a world class winger or defender yet.

As much as I like him, he cannot be compared to cole or evra at this early stage as they have proven time and time again that they can mix it with the best in world football. Cole is faster than izzy - fact

We have the resources to multiply his weekly wage by FIVE to 25,000 a week if we feel he is worth it. We are in a very good postion with him. He wants to stay but if the big boys come calling the who knows what £4/5 could get us if we got Izzy for less!

Big teams, bully teams like us when we compare money, in the scottish premier division we dont get the money to out bid teams like man u or arsenal, say city came in for izzy, I think izzy would want a go at man city than celtic, unless he's a man for the club, If the clubs in the heart we could have him a long time, If the moneys in his mind we could have him another 3 months

I would like to see contract extensions gor Izzy, Kayal and Hopper. If they refuse we know that they are waiting for a move and I would sell if a large offer came for one of them. I would not sell more than one of these players at the end of this season unless the money offered was crazy.

Any1 ever realise, we dont tend to see top quality left backs that are cheap, we found a bargain with izza and we should stick to it.

Ano mayt, especially for a left back, like a said above, yea dont tend to get left backs that are cheap and have the quality of izzaguire! If we want it to stay that way we better start paying up! Unless like a said before if he's a man for the club!

If Izzy does not want to stay with us after his three year contract then we would be better off to cash in on him if a big offer (10million+) is offered for him. If we keep him another season and he does not sign an extension then he is into the last year of his contract and any money we can recieve for him will be drastically reduced. Every player has his price even a top EPL clubs eg Ronaldo.

I'm dredin the transfer window, if premiership clubs are payin prices like 35m for carrol and 50m for torres, which is defos not worth it for they players, i'd put an 18m price tag on izzy, 20m kayal, 15m for hooper, I really can't see any of our top players leaving though!

Players like ronaldo are in it for the money, If celtic could provide real madrid 90 million then ronaldo's wages + the rest, He would be here, he is a good player but he is money hunter!

Like i have heard people talking, Every season hooper scores more than andy carrol, andy carrol isnt worth what he's tagged, But i saw this on youtube and i totally agree, if hooper scores more goals than carrol every season, even when hooper played in the same league as carrol he still managed to score more, so if carrol is worth 35 million whats hooper worth?

My preference would be for Izzy to get offered a contract extension with a large pay rise. However whar I am trying to get across is that if Izzy refused this then he does not see Celtic as the team he intends to be with longterm. If this is the case and a big offer comes in for him then I would sell him.
