Complete and utter bs, loads of people say that. He grew up supporting Dunfermline. There is no 'tattoo'.

Did Brown not play at Deadco youth but didn't like it so went to Hibs youth and became a Hibs supporter? There's no indication he was ever a hun though, always hear huns going on about how Brown has a Rangers tattoo on his leg which is no doubt bullshit.

Always quite liked Provan's commentary, never seen him as a player.

    From his wiki

Brown trained with Falkirk. Rangers FC were interested in taking Scott Brown but Rangers told him he was too small to make the grade.[7] Brown joined Hibernian aged 13,after he was spotted by their chief scout John Park.
His mother Heather would regularly take Brown to Hibs training sessions in Edinburgh and Motherwell, where he was coached by Davie MacMillan, Gordon Rae, John Park and Keith Wright.

Thanks for the great read Balaclava Bhoy.

Thanks for the info Crow. Crazy to think of Broony getting a knockback for being too small.

Excellent read. Way before my time.
As others have said. Think he's a great commentator. Think him and Ian Crocker work well together. Or at least I think it's them ?

That policy completely destroyed a generation of footballing players. Scotland has always produced small, technically sound, players. You could have had a boy with the greatest technique, amazing two feet, but if he was under 6
5,10 he was out. No matter how good he was. Shocking really; If Cannavaro or Xavi was born in Scotland they would probably be working at Aldi right now.

Terrific player, socks rolled doon to his ankles, nae shinpads, scored some cracking goals. Sad when he had to end his career through illness.

What's kind of ironic about that is back in the early days of football the Scottish players were too small to play a dribbling game against the taller and muscular English so the Scots invented the first form of tiki taka to beat them through quick passing and movement.
