it's OK, you get too use to listening charlie & the bhoys doing all the celtic songs than the wolfe tones come along and change the melody so it takes a bit of getting use to.

1/2 songs on it i never heard before one in particular "the ballad of MON" is class

Thought that Irish Son was surprisingly controversial, although sure all the teeny boppers missed the point. The rest of that lot have turned into a karaoke band.
And his ex-missus is well fit. I would.

like all sorts of music. as for Irish music:

Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem - traditional & rebel songs. their album 'Irish Songs of Rebellion' came out just as the Troubles were starting (lol, know i'm dating myself). funniest is '* Bless England' . other favorites:'Whiskey You're the Devil' & 'All For Me Grog'. they are fun to dance to. some of you may be interested in pre-Wolftones rebel songs.

Paddy Reilly - pretty sure he did 1st recording of Fields of Athenry. have about 5 versions of Fields including 1 by Three Irish Tenors.

Judy Collins - her version of Danny Boy best ever. brings tears to eyes.when people hear it, they just stop what they're doing to listen. her version of Bold * Men is positively bloodcurdling.

Karan Casey - just a beautiful voice. some songs in Irish. Shamrock Shore 1 of my favorites.

others: Sinead O'Connor, Ann Breen (Pal of My Cradle Days), Mary Black

all of these are available if anyone is interested. (btw, Pink Floyd still playing?)
