ok, he's hardly played but why buy a striker and loan one out at the same time?

personally i think he'll be useful, thought that about rasmussen tho thats maybe why i don't understand why they bought DM and loaned MR out

Murphy was mainly a sub and a left winger in his Sunderlant time

I liked Murphy when he played in the game against Arsenal. Only time will tell if he keeps it up, but I'm confident.

i think we were looking toward punting Sammy when we first brought him on. Now Sammy has scored all preseason, against Braga, and opened scoring with an assist against St. Mirren. Fortune has also seemed to turn a corner and looks to be sticking around.

Murphy was seen as a replacement for one of those 2 I think. Their form has pushed him into a backup role

The guy must be given a chance to show what he can do in a celtic strip, to write him off at this stage is nonsense.............

Guy is just in the door and a thread like this appears ffs.

Far better back up option for me than killen ever was, and the 1.5m is just paper talk it was undisclosed and if you believe sky sports news they had it up as 800k.

the guy deserves at least 6 months before a thread like this appears :31:

I wasn't sure about the fee, you know.

I think it could be a 1.3 million max with an initial 800k in that and the rest on appearances.

i agree with your point on the fee, i do think 1.5m for back up is 2 much for the likes of him, but i will only pass judgemnt at the end of the season, about the other players you talked about....

why have them 3 players when they would not get a game at celtic park would play forrest over sinclair everyday of the week would john ruddy even get a game? also eagles.... don't rate him and again would rather give forrest a game before him aswell

Rasmussen supposedly came back out of shape and him and Lenny didn't see eye to eye. Thats enough to make the boss' mind up about sending him elsewhere.

Comical people think a mexican or Israeli won't like the cold in winter, do you realise what countries they have lived in before lol, not nice places to live, they have adversity this relation to scots and cold is absurd, and rough and tumble, Mulgrew is a scot but wouldnt put a foot in if it was to save his life.

That was slightly off topic to a post made earlier in this, but im going to be honest here i don't care how long he gets on the pitch my dad and i agree he is a lump of wood, lets be serious here guys he is simply not good enough a waste of 1.5 mill in my opinion, yes hes only back up but 1.5 mill on backup, seriously money should have been better spent getting in a striker that will get into our first team and not sitting on the bench.

We have Samaras, Hooper, Fortune, Maloney, McCourt, Forrest who can all play to an extent in the 3 forward positions we are playing in the 4-3-3, what need was there of Murphy in the first place. This kind of signing was made in the strachan era, just buying a player to fill a spot in the roster. This is a slight rant and don't get me wrong every other signing lennon has made, apart from mulgrew, i am extremely happy with but with Murphy i feel for 1.5 mill and decent wages it could be put towards someone better who will regularly challenge for a first team spot.
