Played well again I thought personally, caught out once or twice but on the whole solid. His distribution is key.

wasnt impressed by either centre half today. mulgrew struggled to deal with jelavic and maj was continually caught out of position or making daft mistakes.

i think he's done well up til now but thats always been against the smaller quicker type striker, i would have no problem playin him then but not against the big physical type

thought he did okay today, struggled at times against jelavic but as much as it pains me to say it i think the huns have a player on their hands there. hes got potential to be a good centre back but i think we would need to train him in that position and maybe get johan giving him a bit of help in training

mulgrew done alright jelavic gave him some trouble but overall he was decent, maj on the other hand looked like he lacked sharpness which is to be expected after coming back from injury.
They had a decent game today not perfect by any means, charlies done well though filling in as a CB.

I added this in the match thread but the only negative I took from today's game was the massive gaps in the centre of our defence. It's not fair to pin it all on Mulgrew but I thought he looked very uncomfortable today. It was his first real test today and I didn't think he coped very well.

Despite us dominating possession, the huns had some sitters in the final third and that was down to massive gaps in our defence time and time again. In all fairness, these problems haven't been occurring with Majstorovic and Rogne and they boast the best defensive record in the league, the sooner our natural centre back's are back the better in my opinion.

This ,,nothing seems to faze him as he looks in control with the ball at feet ,where's Maj wants that extra second on the ball. Full credit to the lad he has done really well in there and lets not forget the abuse he got from his own kind ,it takes a lot to comeback after that.

Done well again today, huns got behind our defense a couple of times though (Naismith before the pen and Jelavic/Davis pass miss), but he did do a good job. In particular I remember he dealt with a move really well with Jelavic in the first half where he slid in the pentalty box and was very composed, well done big man!

I would seriously consider giving the Mulgrew and Rogne pairing a longer run even when Maj is back fully fit. I cannot fault any of Mulgrew's performances at CB so far.

Cant fault him but think, b4 injuries that Rogne n big Dani was becoming a good partnership...think he will have to fight for this position or left hand side......It's a tough one, bit like the midfield n Wilson, Cha n Juarez...but at least we have the squad to fight for places!!!:50:
