Combat sport competitor in mental warfare non-shocker.

If we're judging people based on them selling fights then no boxer or mixed martial artist will ever be recognised as a decent person.

It's in their DNA to be a * in the run up to a fight, all words.

At the height of racism in that country, he whipped up the race card against his fellow black boxer. Disgusting tactics..

he called fellow black boxers "house *" and "uncle toms". He also said that white people and black people shouldn't marry and hinted that he thought that whites and black should be segregated. Was also friends with Malcolm X, don't think I need to go into that one. Ali is one of my hero's and is one of if not the biggest sporting icon ever but he definitely had his flaws.

No one denies he had flaws.

Like I said, it's all words. Words with the intent of getting under opponents skin. It's the nature of the beast.

Michael Bisping called Rockhold a * at a post fight Presser last night. He's not a homophobe, he's a fighter with a big mouth. Same as Ali.

He said in a interview with Parkinson that whites and black shouldn't marry that isn't fighting talk that's racism.
I would post the video but I'm on my phone. I can understand why he was like this considering the era he lived and the fact that he wasn't the brightest in the first place but it doesn't change the fact that he was a racist.

The difference, of course, is that Ali wasn't just saying these things, he was living them. He was a prominent member of a black separatist group, which many people seem to confuse with a black civil rights group.

Him and his fellow Nation of Islam members didn't want equal rights and a fair, harmonious society where blacks and whites lived in peace. They wanted segregation.

There's a reason why the SPLC identifies the Nation of Islam as a hate group, and Ali was a card-carrying member of that group.

His hatred for people like Joe Frazier was based on the simple fact that Frazier didn't believe that the white man was the devil and that blacks and whites should live segregated lives.

I live near Bisping and have mutual friends with him, the word * around this area has a dual meaning and doesn't necessarily mean gay when it's being used. Ali knew exactly what he meant when he said that black and white people shouldn't race mix.

    Ali wasn't the brightest? :56:

Stop trying to point score off an icons death.

As embarrassing as it is expected from the forums biggest antagoniser. If he were that big a racist he'd have been vilified.

The truth is he's universally loved and with good reason.

The irony in someone called Paolo DiCanio calling someone out for being a racist :56:

An interesting fact was that the American * Party and the Nation of Islam used to co-operate with each other because they essentially wanted the same thing - whites and blacks to lead separate lives and no miscegenation between the two. So to put it bluntly, during his stint in the Nation of Islam, Ali was a * for blacks.

I can't tell if you are laughing because you know he wasn't bright or that you disagree with me but he was dumb, he only had an iq of about 78. Also I don't think anyone is trying to score points on a legends death, just telling you the facts. Do you not find someone saying blacks and whites shouldn't racemix racist?

He wasn't the brightest, he had an IQ of 74 I think it was... I heard somewhere that his IQ was so low he wouldn't of got into the army until they lowered it for the Vietnam war..
