BTM is still in the hotseat and people have rightly said before that this has only came out just before the huns game. Wouldn't trust it one bit and don't want to, Hughes had all the money a manager could want and still couldn't beat teams like hull and Fulham at home. Lets get behind the manager we have and ignore the press' fabrication.

Sounds like we're going to have to act fast if we want to land our reported possible new manager 'IF or when' we might sack our current one as he won't talk to us untill the seat is vacent....

What a load of bullshit, they couldn't even wait untill Monday ffs. Mark Hughes is not they way to go anyway tbh.

If hypotheticaly speaking , a club in Scotland was looking for a new manager then they could do a lot worse than Mark Hughes obviously..

He made Blackburn a reasonably entertaining and hard as nails (dirty I think was the word used) team that opponents wouldn't enjoy playing against..

Good signing record of players , including big name(s) - Benni McCarthy , relatively unknown - Samba , Roque Santa Cruz , and bit part players at other premiership clubs and turning them into top performers in Bentley and Warnock so he's probably a good man manager and he doesn't build a team that gets bullied..
But having said that , playing in the English premiership is the real attraction for those players , rather than playing for Hughes or any other manager..
The premiership is something you aint going to get up here in Scotland..

poor comparison, Barnes had no management experience before coming to us.
Hughes is now a very experienced manager.

well said m8 i 100% agree with that
I think TM just needs time as does the squad need time to gel together, i love our fans but one thing we lack is patience with the gaffers, even under WGS people weren't happy, give the guy time, paper talk trying to unsettle us before big game

must be the 10 points we trail the worst rangers team ever or the fact we have scored 20 odd goals less than the most defensive rangers team ever or the fact up until this week we were in danger of losing second place to hibs. was it the fact we were 4-2 up against aberdeen away and he brought on samaras, or it must be the fact he has a worse record than john barnes. which of these reasons has you convinced????????????????

I can hear the lock clicking into place on this thread already, 3rd time it's been posted today.
Yes I'd take Mark Hughes but Tony Mowbray is our current manager, so we're stuck with him like it or lump it.

If Mogga does go, i think Paul Lambert should get the nod. Lambert, Lennon & maybe Larsson as the dream team?!

He is far more experienced and has had more at the top level. There is simply no comparison between Hughes and Mogga. Hughes is exactly the sort of hard boiled charachter who we should have got in in the summer instead of our footballing sage/philosopher space cadet. As for John Hughes, why the * would you prefer his CV to Mark Hughes?? We are talking about a guy whose career peak was managing Falkirk to mid table until 6 months ago. Lambo-he has not even done championship level yet. You may as well go out and make the Forfar manager our new gaffer. Henke-get off the whacky backy. If you want to appoint a great footballer with no management experience we may as well go for John Barnes again. That old mentality that our managers have to be Celtic men again!!!! When will people ever learn. That sort of thinking limits us and to be honest is probably bordering on illegal in employment law. If we have a chance of Hughes, I would sack Mogga after the next point he drops.

This is just standard Old-Firm-game-at-the-weekend pish from the papers.

The gutter press always try to do their bit to destabilise us before we play Rangers.

Far as Hughes goes, I'd rather have John Hughes. Sparky seems a * to me. Strikes me as a rather self-important authoritarian. Had practically unlimited funds at Man City, and still couldn't buy a result away from home. No thanks.
