I have always thought that the way that Artmedia is brought up is very weird. It was one bad game where loads of new players didnt know each other yet and we won the 2nd leg 4-0. We then started a hugely successful league campaign. Artmedia is only remembered as an excuse by the haters. I honestly never gave it another thought. Celtic history post-Stein is nothing but a long line of away falilures in Europe so it was no big deal.

His haters grew up with a silver spoon in their mouth when it comes to Celtic's success. Larsson, Extravagant Board, MON's success, Strachans Success all taken for granted as the status quo. They focus on the most minute factors to discredit real success and expect wholesale changes at every bump.

calling the manger into question right now is ridiculous. you can do that in winter, if the league is already lost by then, or next summer.

TM deserves a chance and some more time. WGS had a stinker in europe as well in his first year. generally I'm sick of these comparisons. what Stein, MoN, WGS did back then was back then, now we have TM and I think we should support the team and not exclude anyone.

Honestly you two get a room.

It's like a romcom where yous both start passionately kissing in a moment. I'm just not sure who's Meg Ryan yet.

I'm wondering if Tony Mowbray ever managed in any European tie before? Tonight was a shocker. Maybe this is what Martin predicted -"life in the slow lane".

Mowbray was about the Board's 4th choice for the job - I think it was more in desperation that they took him, all others having turned it down, etc.

The players he has inherited showed tonight they have no future at Celtic and are an embaressment. I really fear for his future already - the team is crap and the bench is a joke -Chris Killen ??????????????? And don't mention Gary Caldwell and his demands for more money!!!!!!!!!!!

He's shaping up to be another John Barnes.
    :47:
The only way the Board will listen is when the supporters take direct action. Did it in the past and looks likeit will have to be done again.

Which is why 9 competitive games in to the new managers regime we have already seen posts saying Mowbray should go :31:

I'm raging at tonight's result, some of the decisions regarding tactics were truly mind boggling to say the least but this demand for instant success or your out is ridiculous. Yes, we should have beaten the Israelis as they are one of the poorest teams we've faced in recent years and questions need to be asked and answered but for some fans to be calling for the managers head already is unbelievable.

good post. TM deserves to have his 90 mins tonight criticised massively, but it's far far too early to be calling for his head. it was one of the worst performances i've seen from a manager though.

I'm not even going to read this thread from the start because the title gives me a clue as to what will have been said.

All I will say is this.......

I never was a Gordon Strachan fan and I wanted Tony Mowbray to be our manager.

But there is no question at all that in the last two matches(Dundee Utd at home and tonight against HTA) Tony Mowbray has got it all wrong.

I'll say no more. I really hope he gives up this 1 up front thing. It might work for the sons of satan but it doesn't work for us. If he plays 1 striker against Hearts on Sunday then I will be devastated.

I have not posted on here in a while cause of some fans being total neagative with every result.

Will say it again people will only appreciate wgs when he has gone, i stuck by that man, early days with Mowbray, but that man will never beat wgs record.

Really hope Mogga proves me wrong.

Too early to judge him , but right now all i can say is he does not have the same affect wgs had under us , when we was behind or needing a late goal or two , we scored so many late goals under wgs and always looked like we could score in the last 5/10mins of games ,

I think Tony should stick to the same philosphy he used at Hibs. If we had gone out and attacked that team tonight we'd have pumped them. They were an average team. I just hope that TM isn't going to get lured into being conservative because managing Celtic is a 'results business'. * that *...let's just get out there and show people what we can do. Because we're at our best when we're going forward and taking the game to teams.
