Lets face it mogga played for us when we had no money and a 1-1 draw at ibrox or anywhere else was considered a good result I'm not sure we can really say hegets the pressure cos he played for us.

think our problem is we have fancy ideas about playing a certain type of football and doing someting in Europe when the reality is we cant and we should have got a manager mainly on the basis that they look like they would know how to win the SPL. I think though it isnt so much a matter of how good or extensive the CV is. The problem is we hired a guy who is a football idealist not a master at winning. We should have gone for a practical sort of manager like Levein who can get the most out of the fairly cheap players we have. Most of the players we have bought are the usual fairly cheap ones from unfashionable league or players fallen on hard times from better leagues and most were not well known. We are still mainly dabbling in the 1-2 million bracket so the main remit of a Celtic manager is to make relativley modest players into teams that punch about their weight. I think Mogga has a vision that our budget cannot stretch too with fast players with perfect touch playing like Wengers Arsenal team of a few years back. I do not think we can afford the personell.

"take it on the chin"......how many times are we going to hear that? And how many times have we already heard that this season? We were * before he started 'building his team' and * now that he has his 'own team'! No one forced to make him sell and buy that many players in 1 TWindow....bad management.

wasnt really one for TM's appointment either, sorta fancied Bilic for some reason when he was mentioned. Does anyone care if the new manager (if/when there is one) has had a past with the club? personally i just want someone who aint had teams relegated n has proved he can get the best out of players

Glad it wasn't Martinez we got either. 2-0 defeat to Notts county with a heid og tonight. Df would be just as bad if not worse under him with results like 9-0 defeats to Spurs

just mentioned Bilic cause he was rumoured at the same time we got TM. just think he knows how to get the best from players and promoted some youths from the u-21's to the national side when he took over. mite also have got some croatians with him on the cheap. but hey...we didnt get him so thats that!

dont think TM will walk to atleast the end fo the season, hope i'm wrong but as i said in anther post, (rumoured again) some of the stewards at CP where "informed" TM asked to walk by mutual consent before xmas and was told no

Well that is it well and truely over. :38:

I've held out through the terrible results we've had this season. Kept the faith, so to speak but I'm afraid that was the final straw for me this evening. Over the past six months we've asked ourselves why we've been so poor; why we haven't be able to get the results. Answers have included Strachan; the players; the board; the defence; specifically Samaras. None of them can be blamed now. The results of this season are soley Tony Mowbray's fault and a lot of us, including myself, have refused to accept that he is to blame. I reckon this down to two things, a.) the Strachan football was fresh in our minds and b.) we all really want him to do the business here. We are all desperate for Mowbray to suceed.

I just can't see it happening now. He isn't cut out to be a Celtic manager. He doesn't have the personality or the capabilities. He has his own team now and of course nobody expects a lot of new players to be instant world beaters but ffs, let's not kid ourselves on - we were playing Kilmarnock :87: a side who haven't won in nine matches and haven't beaten us since the year 2001, nine friggin years. Our general attitude, or lack of, played a massive part in the result as well as the tactics employed by the management. There was a severe lack of determination when Kilmarnock clocked our game plan on the twenty minute mark. It was utterly criminal. Our entire season rested on tonight's result, we had just came off an epic deadline day, the fans were lifted and surely to ghod the players and management were and yet we still couldn't get ourselves up for it. Instead we polished the SPL trophy and engraved 'Glasgow Rangers Champions 2009/2010' into it. :38:

I notice Mowbray mentioned the building a team for the future thing tonight. Three of the players he got yesterday were on loan. They won't be here next season which utterly breaks my heart. Robbie Keane is literally here to play 15 friendlies.

RE: Tactics. Mowbray picked the team I expected him to with exception of Loovens and Naylor. The formation was one I wanted. Keane was always going to play and rightly so. However, it became blantantly obvious that the midfield wasn't working out for us and when that happens you would think human nature would set about making a change. Nah, we just thought we'd leave it and go with the flow. We should've brought Brown on for Kamara and went central with three midfielders and McGeady just infront of them. It would've shored us up in there and forced us to go central because christ know's we were getting * all fom the wings... Eventually we did make the substitue and it's Brown... For Naylor :56:truely * astounding. Perhaps one of the most ridiculous substitutions I have ever seen in my life. When that substitution arrived it was our last one so in the end we should have really left Brown on the bench and brought Ras on, what with him being the match winner last week and high on confidence :87: pure baffling decisons, like. It just contributed to the completey disjointed look about the team.

One of my major, major issues with tonight was Looven's getting the armband. I'm sorry, but when did the Celtic captaincy become so unimportant? This utter fiasco is another part of the failed Mowbray jigsaw. A new manager comes in and he has to set out his stall and show some intent and appointing a captain goes hand in hand with that. The current John Terry saga is proof enough of how important the captain's role is. So far we've handed it out to everyone and their friggin maw. Shambolic. Loovens was an utter kick in the baws though - what the * has he ever done to suggest to anyone he may be a captain? Was it that time he was * slapped by Kenny Miller? He is a wimp... Captain? Honest to * *. Completely embarrassing. Please, please will you appoint a captain and vice captain. It is the basics of any football club.

On a final note, I'm utterly losing it with Boruc. Does he know how to make saves anymore? He was shockin' for the goal and the fella has been out of shape for ny on two years. Time to get the younger model in.

lads * like? neil lennon getin the mangers job? im sure he'd be embarrased at the thought himself? lets think a bit logically. Mowbray should b given till the end of the season, we might win the league or find ourselves 20 points behind. But its feb, a new manger at this point aint gonna do much much better. Keep the faith!

When Mobray was Celtic captain we won nothing in his 4 years. The man is not a winner he is a loser and looks lost. Please do us a favour and give it up tony.

Hate to say it TM haters.. He is here to stay.

The board made an exception to fund Keane for this year to keep the fans spirits up. Meanwhile, the new guys will be slowly acclimated into the team/league to make a run for next years title (Ki, Rasmussen, Hooiveld,) The board shares TM's vision of building a winner and are ok if this year has to be sacraficed in order to do so.....

Not a big enough character or presence to motivate the players and get the best out of them.

The euphoria of the Keane signing has just been killed. Leagues done.

what is he playing at! his flaws are so obvious, he starts keane and kamara one day after they've joined which was ridiculous in my opinion, rasmussen didn't even get a game after saving our arses at the weekend all because mowbray saw a man bigger than the team that had to play regardless of other factors, he didn't have the balls to take mcgeady off when he was clearly playing absolutely *. We badly needed a goal and he brings on a half fit scott brown at * left back!!

He couldn't motivate kris boyd to eat a burger, hes a clueless useless * and i hate the fact that hes in charge of the club i love.
