for all the pro mowbray fans

I seem to remember that mark venus said he and mowbray don't have a plan b, so i checked out google and came up with this article back in 2009.
Mark Venus: Tony Mowbray and I only know one way to play - The Daily Record

as you can see from the comments on that page i was worried in june last year.
if there is no plan b and plan a is not working ......well we know how its panned out so far

spl is rough and tumble..its not the spanish league we're in..ye have 2 mix and match like we did under O'Neill..team was full of footballers and leaders, who could also more than match physical side of game..and o'neill himself prancin the touchline..full of passion..inspirin the team on until the final whistle..this celtic team doesnt even have a never say die attitude..grabbin wins wile playin bad..these are the qualities needed and we dont have it..Mowbray - good man, wrong job

We've got to back him until the end of the season - it's that simple.

We've got a good squad now, but with so many changes it's hard to know what is the best team/formation/partnerships.

He's had horrendous injuries - when the * is Maloney back? Glad to see Brown back though.

Braffheid will add defensive solidity to LB, which we have been lacking for about 8 years.

If we can't get on a real winning spree than his job is finished as Celtic Manger at the end of the season.
If we can go on a winning spree & start looking as good as we all know we are capable of being - then he will have given himself an opportunity to stay longer.

Time will tell, but for now he's got my backing - changing managers now will not help.

On paper yes he would get the sack. But sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture how much of a change was needed and can you see the team improving or going in the right direction on the park. I still believe mowbray deserves a chance to show what can be done until the summer but if performances and results dont look good then fair enough. There is no point getting another manager in now he is there he knows what he has got let him get on with it.

Rangers poor players make a good team because it has been uninterupted for so long, that's why there is no doubt in my mind that our good players will go on to form a GREAT team.

    It's just gonna take time.

4 months? Didn't know he took over in October.

    Let me ask you this;

Do you think it's good enough we're 10 points behind a Skint Huns team?

That we're only 2 points ahead of Hibs having played a game more?

That we've lost 5 times at home already this season?

That we went 8 years only losing to Barca at home in Europe and then Mugga comes in we lose 3 out of the 5 games? Thus failing bigtime in both the Champions League & Europa.

That Mowbray, in the biggest game of the season so far (last night), obviously can't motivate his players?? (As the performance was abysmal)

That he completly knocked the confidence of every player when he stupidly said 'these players aren't good enough' 'I need 10 new signings', what do you think that would do to team chemistry and confidence?

He sits getting the heat out the dugout while we're losing, looking down at his shoes looking as if he'd rather be anywhere else than here, saying he's 'not enjoying the job', that's great isn't it?

There have simply been TOO MANY vastly disappointing moments this season, and I attribute them to Mowbray, the buck stops with him. I simply can't see any improvement next season either, he is not cut out for the job. I like the guy as a person but Celtic comes first, and we must move on.

    Cheerio Mugga :bbpd:

Voted no as I have a feeling its all just gonna fall into place one day for this Celtic team. We're playing teams off the park but we have no fight so I'd bring Lennon into the first team coaching set up instead of taking control of the reserves for friendlies.

id have lennon is ahead of this clown, but lennon isnt the answer. its damage limitation now, bring in a new man, and hump the spl next year. dont leave it to the end of the season, when (if we have a new manager) they will have only some pre-season games to find a good team, bring them in now, get a regular XI going. the seasons already over for us.

It won't change as someone said mowbray knows one way to play and it isn't working so he will keep playing like that even though it isn't working and we will still be sitting here this time next season saying the same things with worse players (when our star players get fed up and leave)

We have a good team that is being wasted by this manager.

The rags didn't mention that Scott Brown is actually now the captain of the team, so get that criticism out of your heads. On at LB though? Puzzling. Said he was trying to stretch the game? C'mon Mogga - get someone like Ras on to ruffle some feathers in the box and try and feed off the scraps. The clueless fairy that is Fortune won't do that. Strong, powerful man but he doesn't seem up for a fight, but there were 11 players out there who didn't look up for a fight.

I'll mention something that Fortune was quoted as saying a while ago, "I came here to win medals, but I didn't think the league would be so hard". Ki said he wasn't ready for the Premiership and came to Scotland because it would be easier. I think this encapsulates the thinking of most of the players who have came in recently, that the league would be a given, they would win trophies no bother. Now they've found out it's a fight, some of them don't want to know. It's not all Mogga's fault, although he did bring these players in. Oh, and Braafheid won't stay after his loan expires. Said so today. He's here to win a WC place and then he's heading back to Bayern. F*ck me. His backroom team is poor. Mark Venus is an utter clown imo, but if you think Hiddink is going to come here (and I do hope you're joking) then get your head checked.

Is Mogga really picking the team ( i dont think so ) ? I think the board are picking the team . Keano wasnt ready to play last night . I think moggas the type who would have played big rasmussen first and let keano rest till sunday . I canny vote on this mogga poll , I can see where hes coming from gettin rid of the inferior players Barry Robson is the only one i would have keep. .............i think the board have to but out . :54:

every one was calling for wgs's head when we were 8 points behind rangers a few years back but went onto win 3 in a row.

10 points is a big gap, but its not mission impossible. Some ppl on here have thrown in the towel already in feb. Its shockin
