    Celtic: Good players, poor team.

    Rangers: Poor players, good team.

The huns have had an unchanged, untampered side for what...18 months now? They know each other inside out, unfortunatley, our side don't have that yet. We will click mate, but the players just have to know each other first and see each other on the training pitches every day.

We may be halfway through the season, but it's still early days!

The worst I've seen, as well. No tactic knowledge whatsoever. You've probably seen more managers, so I believe you. He must go, for the sake of our club. The next manager must have experience that doesn't include Championship and the SPL.

No tactical knowledge whatsoever? Care to enlighten us then to why we create between 20-30 chances a match? I don't think there's any other team in the SPL who can create even HALF that amount in 90 minutes. It's just unfortunate that:

1)We have a habit of missing sitters at the moment
2)Every goalie we come up against seems to play a feckin blinder against us.

I know we're all hurting, but the signs are there, we just have to be patient whilst the players gel and learn each others game.

look lads, its as simple as this, we've been hopeless all season, last night was our LAST chance to in some way get back in the title race, we * it up against a team 2nd bottom in the league, just like we * up twice against the bottom team in the league this season, the pattern has set itself over the season, we're just not good enough and at the minute tony mowbray just aint good enough!!

he cant seem to get the team up for CRUCIAL, MUST WIN games such as last night when surely the team and the managing staff knew that anything but a win spelled the end of our season, YES not mathematically and you just need to think back to the 3-in-a-row season to have a wee bita hope, but let me ask yous this...... can yous really see this celtic team going on an unbeaten run like we did in the 07-08 season???????? NO CHANCE!! this team hasnt got the spirit, fight and desire that that strachan team had that season.. i hope to * they prove me wrong and if so i will hold my hands up and admit that i wrote them off in february but lets be realistic and realise that this team will not be challenging seriously for the title this year.....

Im trying so hard to keep the faith mate but I just can't see where a run of good form is coming from?

You know times are hard when your worried about a fixture against Dunfermline.
I think we need to bang in a few goals against them to get some heads up again. My faith is simmering lightly and hopefully it will reignight in the next few weeks.:50:

maybe it was a convenient excuse for them but we cant just dismiss it as some used it for our own failings in 2003.also everyone involved in football will cite this as a factor its just us fans who dismiss this as an"excuse".plus its a different game to what it was in the 1900s.

If he had any tactical knowledge, we'd keep clean sheets against Kilmarnock and the likes. I think Mowbray just lets the team on the pitch, and says:˝Do whatever you want out there.˝. That's why certain players dribble instead of passing, that's why both fullbacks run up the field and leaves us open. And any decent team has to have a penalty box striker in the team. We didn't yesterday. What's worse, we had one on the bench. You said Rangers have the better team, while we have the better players. That's completely true, and the reason why we're pish. I'd just like to add something to that:they also have the better manager, who actually has a clue how to set the system he wants the team to play, and gives instructions to his men. Everyone knows what's their job. Also, he has been around the club for a long time, having managed it once before, and he's got plenty of experience. Now compare that to our manager.

Differant how? It's still 22 men running around a field for 90 minutes. If anything, I'd say todays players have it easier as all top level teams have far better facilities/diets and also sports scientists helping keep them in peak condition.

Anywho, this is a debate for another thread mate!

I have backed him all the way until now, but last night was the final straw! Scott Brown to left back and taking the captain armband off Loovens of all people, its beyond a joke now. IS the captains armband just pass the parcel to the first person you see these days!! Now at least under McManus and Caldwell they showed some leadership but Loovens and O'Dea come on to * whos next to get it Thompson. Mogga showed last night and on many of occasions this season looking bewildered at what hes doing, he has no idea how to get anything out the team and clearly cant organise a team as a unit! And how about some emotion, if we score he just turns round how about a smile and a wee clap of the hands and if the teams playing * get at them and tell them to up there game and get there finger out, show some * passion!

This must have been how they felt under Le Guen when we were laughing at them, its bad bad times. Mowbray time for you to move on and not tarnish your relationship with the club even more, its best for all parties!

I know I am only taking a small park of your comment here but I think it is important.

When N'guemo was booked last night it was the first time I saw our captain round the ref in defiance for a long time, we need more of it. That is the start to making us stronger on the pitch. We are not losing because we don't have the team or it is playing the wrong way.

We are losing because we are being bullied in all areas of the park and we have not had a leader capable of sorting it out as of yet. Loovens looked to be doing a good job last night.

So brown came on a took his arm band, The daft * on the box kept asking why to himself , well I’ll tell you Burley, It doesn't take a genius to work out that TM has made Brown our captain when he is on the park hence when he came on he took over.

I just hope Brown is up to the job as I think he has enough to be thinking about just now, never mind trying to help other with there game.

Ye I think Brown will be our captain, I wasn't saying that Mowbray doesn't know our leaders, but for a new manager coming in, would be hard or take some time anyway to find out leaders, but ye Scott Brown for me would be a good shout, or maybe Shaun Maloney?? He's been at the club for a while, even though he went away for a couple of seasons..

Maybe he should give Strachan a call and ask him how to win games against the likes of Kilmarnock.

people seem to think Strachan was better, but Mowbray inherited Strachan's team minus the best player, Strachan threw away the league title to the same Rangers team we are playing now, Mowbray isn't doing anything wrong we are creating a whole lot of chances and playing well just the team is missing a goal-scorer. However now that Keane is in we have someone who will score goals, Can't really expect too much from him imo Keane shouldn't have played last night only been in the country for a day and probably not even trained with his new team-mates. So give them time guys Keep the Faith!

and as im saying to all the gloating Rangers fans, at this time last year i was being as cocky as all of them and ended up paying for it :p

Spot on there. Not everyone wanted a "Celtic minded man" mind you but the vast majority seemed to. Like it or lump it they got what they asked for. Mogga was going to be the saviour because we got the Celtic minded man on board. Oh how we now regret that.

I like others can see Mogga's vision of how he wants to create a team. The attractive football route is all good in theory but it's totally pointless when you can't either afford the personell to do the job or you have a manager in charge who leaves the tactics handbook at home at 90% of the games.

Had Mogga not been a Celtic minded ex player for us and not cost as much to bring in along with the rest then he would have been out on his * by now. The results speak for themselves really. This season is in danger of being the worst in many a year, not to mention we are currently second to possibly the worst rangers team ever.

I sincerely hope Mogga turns things around and makes us all eat our words come the end of this season as it would go a long way to show he has the capacity for the job.

    Celtic overall
Bhoys/ghirls, i know we create many chances a game and continue 2 spurn them..but this celtic team is missing fight, leaders, passion and motivation both on & off the pitch..this is the least as a fan i expect when the player crosses the white line..and its been missing all season..The captains armband - Mowbray bein a captain himself..well wat is he doin? 7 or 8 captains this season already..its seems like pass the parcel..changin every game..The side has never been settled..too many foreigners..and we're potentially gonna be 3rd place..This is a shambles!
Say what yas want bout rangers..but..broadfoot, mcgregor, davis, boyd, mcculloch etc..may not be the best players..but they fight for the badge and have a management team motivatin them..we lack all of this..and its not acceptable at celtic, transition period or not..and also worse than John Barnes..like how much more can we take of this? Lettin skippy leave..(a celtic man) even it was a good offer yet keep Fortune - not good enough, Samaras - not good enough. Completely baffled..I support the clear-out of Caldwell, Killen, flood etc..but we need Scott Brown back in midfield..Get Lennon back in 1st team dugout or manager til end of season. And lets target scottish players in summer - Ross McCormack, Lee Wallace, even try st ledger to put in irish heart back in team..Partner him with Hooiveld..Lennon back in charge to inspire the whole squad!
