His goal was reminiscent of a strike I had doon the Robbie Park a few years back. People walking their dogs still talk about that goal to this day.

MOUSSA Dembele has been leading the line in recent weeks, with Leigh Griffiths ruled out through injury, and the young French striker has done so impressively.
Most notably there was the hat-trick in the 5-1 demolition derby, while he added to his goals tally on Wednesday night with a superb individual goal to make it 2-0 in the League Cup quarter-final against Alloa Athletic.
And while Griffiths is nearing a return to action, the 20-year-old believes that the competition for places can only benefit the team, as well as both players, who have also shown they can form a potent strike-force when selected together in the starting XI
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s Premiership clash with Kilmarnock at Celtic Park, Dembele said: “Leigh is a clever player, so for me to play alongside him would be a good thing. We are different players, he has his strengths and I have mine. We have a friendly competition which is for the good of the team.
“If I can score, I will score, but if I can give the ball to Leigh for a goal, I will. Having him here is a good thing for me.”
The games are coming thick and fast for Brendan Rodgers’ side, and hot on the heels of the Kilmarnock game is matchday two of the UEFA Champions League – a home tie against Manchester City.
After the disappointment in the Nou Camp, the Hoops will be aiming to put their first points on the board against Pep Guardiola’s side, and Dembele is also prepared to step up and take responsibility if Celtic are awarded a penalty, despite his miss against Barcelona.
“That result was hard to take but it's football, it happens sometimes,” he said. “You have to take the positives and improve the negatives.
“But first we’re concentrating on Kilmarnock. We take it game by game.”

    Two smart finishes.

Really good start to his career, makes a huge difference to have two quality strikers available. Can't believe he's on double figures already.

BR on @MDembele_10 "Two good goals again today. He scores virtually all his goals in the box which is great.

BR: "His first one was a good finish with his right foot & the second one was on his left foot and another great finish.

BR: "He (Moussa) still has a way to go to fulfill his capabilities but he has improved no end in terms of pressing & tactical ideas.

Yeah certainly does, meant Griff didn't need to be rushed back, also gives Brendan a good headache, i think between them they could hit 50 plus this season.

If they both play more often than not 50 is the base figure they will be working from.

    It'll be more like 70.

Finished clinically today. It's good to see 2 quality strikers at the club together.
