Ah Moussa not Villa. An absolute non-entity of a club

Selling Ings and bringing in Dembele for a much smaller fee would be a good move for Villa. They heavily overpaid for Ings though.

A non entity of a club? They’ve won the European cup and play in arguably the best league in the world, strange take.

He’ll be on prob 60-80k a week, playing for one of the top 10 biggest clubs in England, can’t see how that’s a bad move for him. :giggle1:

You’d think he was as good as Henrik the way * talk about him at times, he’s a great player but villa is about his level.

Between Moussa Dembélé and England, it's a great love story. This began when the striker trained at Paris Saint-Germain joined Fulham at the age of 16. A jump into the unknown that turned into a beautiful discovery for the native of Pontoise, in its element in the Premier League. Before getting there, he evolved into the youth categories, where he shone. Rewarded with a professional contract at the age of 17, Dembélé then climbed the ranks one after the other until he settled in the incumbent eleven.

A meteoric ascent for the Frenchy, which then joined Scotland and Celtic. As a success in Her Majesty's Kingdom, the former Titi could return a few years later. Since his arrival at Olympique Lyonnais, the Premier League teams have never stopped keeping an eye on him. Manchester United and Arsenal have supervised it several times in previous seasons. Last summer, other British clubs came forward at the transfer market. Fulham, Wolverhampton, Nottingham Forest and West Ham inquired, without the player giving a favourable follow-up. Everton as well.

England does not forget Moussa Dembélé

Six months later, the Toffees did not forget Moussa Dembélé. The centre forward, author of 2 goals and 1 assist in 7 starts this season (15 appearances), still pleases the leaders of the Liverpool Blues as explained on our site. Poorly ranked, Everton wants an offensive reinforcement this winter and has therefore checked the name of the Frenchman. But not only his own. However, another Premier League boarder also closely follows the case of the tricolour footballer. Indeed, according to our information, Aston Villa also thinks of Moussa Dembélé, whose profile and experience are appreciated.

Even if an offensive this winter is not totally excluded due to Danny Ings' next departure from West Ham, the Villans ideally want to recruit the 26-year-old player this summer 2023, once the contract binding him to Olympique Lyonnais is over. This will prevent them from paying a transfer allowance. At the helm of the English team, Unai Emery, who already wanted to collaborate with the Frenchman when he was on the benches of PSG and Villarreal, did not forget it. As a seller, OL risks paying attention to the English market during the money time of this transfer window like no other, for Moussa Dembélé.

Hearing Everton are interested now and talks of the two fooling it out over a 18 million euro fee * only six months left shows how desperate clubs can become if threatened by relegation

I don't agree that Celtic fans overrate Dembele. To be honest, i think he is underrated. Seems to score all the time, and important goals for Lyon when he starts, but still end up on the bench. He was a fantastic player, and he will score at any level.

Let's get it right....whether under or over rated.

Villa replacing Ings with Dembele, especially as Emery continues to stamp his authority and style of the squad is for them, amazing business.

He's not going to score 20+ a season at a club like villa but he could easily get a solid 12 goals before end of season in the remaining games which will reignite interest in should he be able to carry it over into next season.

He is still only 26, he has plenty of time to find his form for Villa

Can't believe the level he's been playing at and that he's gonna end up at Aston * Villa.
Genuinely thought he had everything you'd want in a modern striker and was convinced he'd go to very top by now

Hes not really pushed on the way it was expected. Remember he collapsed in training when he was on loan at AM. That was scary
