Not buying it, he signed a contract, if he wanted to leave after 2 years then he should have signed a 2 or 3 year deal then. He is a *, and showed his true colors, that he was a snakey *.

    What a *.

I really never saw this side to Dembele during his time at the club.

I just thought all that Dembeletion and "im still staying" stuff was a bit of banter and he was in on the joke. But his ego actually bought into it all.

They all were in on it, including Lyon, we should have it investigated as to what laws they broke in terms of tapping up, * scummy French *.

He definitely was, I was off with that.

But I still think Celtic have been forcing him out since January. Rodgers is the only loser here since he didn’t get the money and lost his key player.

Disappointed all the agro is being directed at Dembele, who only asked that a promise be kept, while Celtic have hung Rodgers out to dry. Lawwell will be delighted Dembele is taking so much of the flak.

First season without being in the CL and after him having a pish season last year...was always going to try and get away. Another few injuries this season and his move to a big side might not have happened.

We had the 2 years. I'm not bitter. In fact ive expected him to leave every window since that first January one.His comments now are just that of a modern footballer.

He’s due criticism, but it’s way over the top. The guy was promised a move, Celtic tried to * him over so he acted.

Much like he Boyata situation, Celtic seen this coming and could have remedied it by getting replacements in. The fans wouldn’t have been * off at all then.

Enter, Peter Lawwell, who will happily watch us blame Moussa Dembele for an abysmal transfer window.

He should’ve been sold correctly with a scouted replacement brought in, then we wouldn’t have this ‘* him I never want him back hope he dies in a fire’ poisoning one of our best players of the last 10 years.

I say again, he should not have signed a contract then, trying to * over by asking someone to commit to what they signed? * him, he doesn't even have the decency to thank the Celtic fans, he is a scumbag.

The attitude of many footballers nowadays is just sickening. Signs a 4 year contract, but it’s the player that decides when it’s time to leave.

    * all the club can do when he’s acting like a wean on Twitter and sulking, trying to force a move.

My * that's probably one of the best posts I've ever read on ANY footy forum.

Better than most professional journalists attempts at summarising things.

    Excellent work

I don't know why everyone is so annoyed now....Hes gone,* HIM.

Again, had 1 decent season,is injury prone, thinks hes bigger than clubs.

To get 20 million from this * after spending 500k for basically 1 good season is unbelievable.

He will * over Lyon as well at some point, its in his nature, you can see it spewing from this *,hes one of those Twitter footballers i cant * stand, dressing up like a *,pulling selfies like * 12 year old lassies do.

    Scumbag.

Said it elsehwhere, but I feel like it’s a case of “what if” with Dembele...to an extent.

We never got to see him at his best for a lot of his time here, obviously due to injuries and how long it takes for him to get up to speed after coming back from injury.

Van Dijk and Wanyama absolutely strolled the league for a couple of seasons, but Dembele just never had the same extended runs in the team at peak form.

I actually think the youth set up is doing brilliantly ATM.
Forest, McGregor and Tierney are all now well established first choices consistently playing brilliantly, and Johnson has been outstanding so far this season (keep it up lad)
Add in Ajar (who looks as close as we can hope for a VVD replacement) and that's 4/5 come through our system.
Not many clubs across Europe can boast about those numbers.

Our club has struggled this transfer window, without question. But without the success of 'our' lads coming through we'd be proper in trouble.

Ajer didn’t come through our academy.

Not sure about the academy tbh. Forrest came through about 10 years ago, McGregor 5 years ago.

Tierney is obviously an outstanding product of the academy, and Johnston is very promising.

Miller and Ralston were hyped up but neither are good enough. Aitchison is still built like a 14 year old and looks miles away from first team quality right now.

We can’t seem to develop a good centre half or striker.

Made up a huge chunk of the lost potential CL earnings and got rid of a player who turned out to have little respect for the club. Factor in that his form isn't exactly consistent I reckon we're laughing here.
