Agreed. He looks like a player who would spend more time in the treatment room than scoring goals.
Good to have Griff back and in the goals.

That's exactly what we are quite rightly telling them. For all Moussa has handled the last 24 hours badly, it seems to me that we have promised him something and then reneged on it, there would be no other reason for his reaction.

We have a business model now that is about buying low and selling high, we need to accept that players will leave after a couple of years, the issue for me is not selling Dembele, it's us waiting until the end of the window - we should have been shopping him around Europe 3 months ago so we could get a replacement in - and THAT is the problem

of course we are a stepping stone, we have been that for years . we could field a team that could, with the players we have sold , be right up there in europe . but we are where we are , you cant compete when the big clubs are spending five or six times what we can spend.

It's not? where do we get the money from then to offer players like Tom Rogic improved contacts that's more than likely worth millions more over the course of it or pay £9m for Edouard and pay his obviously high wages? It's also reinvested in keeping our club on a stable financial footing where we spend far more than the league we play in should ever be possible so we don't go * up. We upgrade the stadium and the surrounding area, all things cost money, it's not hidden away in secret bank accounts, every penny we spend is in the audited accounts.

We were explicitly a stepping stone from the onset.

Folk that don’t think these players are using us as a stepping stone are naive that’s the exact reason they sign it’s the main selling point that and potential to play in the champions league, it’s up to us to ensure that there’s replacements when they go usually within 2 years.

He left for, no doubt, treble his salary above what he was on with us, plain and simple.

Our business model doesn’t work because these young players can earn more elsewhere.

These young foreign players have a completely different mentaility to our homegrown players also. They believe they will end up at a big club or a club that can pay big. They simply come to us for exposure in the Champions League, well used to.

As long as we get to keep Rod Stewart and the LED light system then I'm satisfied.

It works because the club buys cheap(ish) and sells for a mint. Results on pitch may vary.
