Trying to look at things objectively and from the perspective of a young French guy who had no previous affiliations with the club, I could see the attraction of a move to Marseille and Lyon.

With us having bombed out the Champions League and failing to back the manager to improve a squad that has evidently regressed, he's probably thinking about his own progression. Again this could all have been avoided with modest investments in key areas at the beginning of the transfer window.

Sincerely hope he doesn't go because on form he's unplayable and if we couldn't find a centre back with 6 months notice and 3 months of a transfer window, how likely are we to find an adequate replacement for Moussa with 48 hours left?

Can see why he’d be interested but selling your best striker two days before the window shuts is madness, the amount we’ve regressed this summer is staggering.
