Too easy to say that IMO.

I get completely how good he is and fully fit he’s a guaranteed starter but what attributes does he have to break down a 10 man defence that the other 2 don’t? Ability in the air at a push?

What we really were crying out for on Wednesday was either a long effort special, a set piece goal or someone to do something special.

It was creativity we were lacking.

His strength and hold up plays allows the creative spark around him.. Edouard looked a bit lost without him on Wed..

What strength and hold up play was required on Wednesday though?

We played from left to right in front of 2 banks of 5 for almost 90 minutes.

You’d be lucky if the ball was lumped a handful of times.

Sounds like all the more reason to mix it up and go the aerial route if required. AEK seem comfortable defending with the play in front of them, get them turning back to their own goal and we might have more joy.

Are you serious mate? It was crying out for him to be a presence in their box on Wed, he makes so much room for others.. Rogic is the creative spark and was totally ineffective, easily outnumbered and outmuscled..

Dembele is also a player for the big occasions and a cool finisher.. He has also started to form a potent understanding with Edouard.. they together would have caused them much more problems, I’m sure of it..

He must play, let's all be honest big Ed was fkn howling, terrible control, and wanted to play out wide.

Moussa is our best striker, Ed is on the way, but this game will need to be Moussa up front, we can't go 2 up front until later in the game.

Up here him and Ed will run amok and wee Griff will do a job too, although wee Griff I don't think is at his best with 2 up front.

Agreed but Edouard is more than capable of that as well.

Yip. I reiterate my point, I don’t think he NEEDS to play for us to qualify. Especially if he’s not fully fit.

I agree with everything you’re saying regarding him but I personally believe what we needed on Wednesday was someone to pull something out the hat, which Ntcham almost did.

We’d have a better chance with Edouard and Dembele both fit, on form and playing. No arguments with regards that. I just feel folk think because Moussa didn’t play is the reason we drew 1 all, that’s not the reality for me.

If Dembele feels he can do it and the medical team say he's good to go, then I would just start him on Tuesday.

Normally I'm not keen on chucking players fresh off injury into the deep end, but we need to go * for leather and just hope the defence hold out enough.

We didn’t have anyone that could hold the ball ag there 18 yard box and roll them, or allow guys to try and slip in behind. We were also struggling yo attack the middle of yhe pitch with both Griffiths and Edouard coming far too wide.

We were crying out for him, for me anyway.

Aye he was badly missed midweek. If he starts on Tuesday then we have a much, much better chance of getting a result.

He can single handedly change the game imo! As a lone striker or with Eddie, he's just that dynamic. So hopefully he's fit cause we need him big time

Aye he's on of those players you get and you just know he's special. VVD everyone knew he was beyond good. Same can be said for dembele. The entire team looks better with him in it. That's next to a £9m striker, he still looks better. What a player. Glad his chocolate hammys seem to be putting off bids.
