Derk Boerrigter was twice the player & injured half the time Dembele is.

    Trying to build match sharpness.

If Dembele is fit he has to play, there's no telling if/when his hamstring is gonna go.

Recurring injuries is an indication some players aren't being managed correctly. After Rodgers saying this is the fittest he's being since he arrived and he is back to his best, this is just a kick in the teeth ahead of a massive double header.

Or just as likely the players aren't managing themselves properly. Like with Leigh and his calves all the time, Brendan has said several times Leigh needs to manage his lifestyle better. There's no way of knowing when it will happen, you can bet they've had several specialists look at him.
Look how long it took Rogic, Forrest, Lustig etc to get over their injury problems, takes time and there is no easy quick fix.

How does lifestyle affect calfs? Serious question. Unless he has some weird kinky calf * game. He obviously has a weakness to something and needs to see a specialist. For all we know a slight angle adjustment in his boots will take pressure off it.

No idea but must be something, could even be running with kids too much or something like that and not getting enough rest. Or his diet. Can bet they've tried that already, last interview I saw he talked about a specialist telling him to work on his glutes to take the strain off his calves.

There are way too many players with injury problems for it to be down to individual mistakes

At least by the time he is back up and running the transfer window will be closed. Griffiths just coming back now in nice time too.

That's why he is still here. Something not right about his injuries. I would not say it was down to him being explosive like Brendan said. I would not describe him as explosive at all.

He definitely is explosive, just because he isn't Didier Agathe quick doesn't mean he isn't 'explosive'.

In the context of a striker it means standing start to full on acceleration in a split second, a major part of his game.

Jokes aside that may actually be the one silver lining in that we may even see him playing for us for another couple of seasons and signing a new deal with us as teams are too scared to pay 20m+ because of his injury history. He has basically played half the season more or less last season and say three quarters the season before so if we can have him on the field at least half to three quarters of a season that is still massive for us.
