I think he has looked really good, strong and a real presence up front he seems to be doing all the right things just hasn't got the rub of the green yet and we have played 3 games

 

Is strong and quick but looks very clumsy with the ball at his feet. Needs a goal to get his confidence up.

 

People get their knickers in a twist all the time when a striker doesn't get off the mark early. Relax.

 

His first touch has looked poor so far but everyone needs to chill. Got to give a striker at least 6 month to show what he can do

 

He has shown enough to me to give the lad a fair shot. To often we have had half decent strikers here in the past 5-10 years and we write them off after one game.
Instead we need to give players a run in the team or change the formation/game to help accommodate them for the better of the team.

Thankfully Rodgers has signed this kid and is flexible in his approach, so I imagine he will get the time he needs to settle in and different styles will be deployed to try and suit both him and the team.

Be it dembele goes one up, old traditional 2 man partnership or we try him out wide/off a striker.

I think he's been quite positive, needs to work on his first touch a little but it'll come and he's been unfortunate not to score.


Just hope he doesn't sulk.

 

He'll turn out fine, he has undoubted quality and will bang in the goals in the SPL.

Just needs a bit more time to settle in the first team and needs a couple to get him off the mark.

Early days but he's played like Amido Balde so far.

Yes, 2 up front doesn't work. Hardly any teams play that way now. It actually suits counter attacking sides more who have pacey strikers. We have none of them unfortunately.

 

Stop talking utter * * :smiley-laughing002: Two upfront doesn't work hahahahaha it is still commonly used around the world and Rodgers himself showed it works when he was at Liverpool!

We used 442 under Lennon most of the times and it worked fine, in the SPL we should have two upfront every week, having 5 in midfield is useful when playing a better team and your looking to try and keep the midfield tight and stop them from playing or having time then hit on the break up front, not when your playing inferior opposition and every team in the SPL and Astana are inferior opposition. Two upfront allows us to play with a different dimension rather than one and Dembele offers not only goals which will come but strength and flick on's complimenting Griffs game and also giving us a different way to play because Griff isn't a hold up player and despite his good heading wont win much in air compared to Dembele.

Two upfront is exactly what we need long may it continue

Should bring in Sutton or Hartson as a Striker coach,would help him massively imo

 

As well as the previous responses to this post; Griffiths is pretty rapid is he not? Dembele is also no slouch.
